dc.description Human development is a paradigm of development that places man as the focus and objectives of the end of the whole development activities which include improving the quality of education. The teacher is a person who is born into the world education directly in field as it pertains to the process of teaching and learning then the teacher should have a wide range of professional characteristics. One of the policies undertaken by the Government is to provide certification to the teacher. The magnitude of the teacher certification is of one times base salary that is expected to improve the socioeconomic conditions of the teachers. This research aims to know the effectiveness of high school teacher certification of the country towards the improvement of socio-economic conditions of the teacher in the city of Bandung. Research methods using the mix method i.e. combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. Engineering data collection using a detailed questionnaire and interview. Data analysis using the likert scale. Research results showed the effectiveness of teacher certification to increased socio-economic condition of the country high school teacher in the city of Bandung was already effective, both from the education variable percentage reaches 81.65 percent had been very effective, effective 57.53 percent residential, leisure 66.14 percent effective, consumption and savings 66.80 percent effective 68.93 effective.
dc.description Pengembangan manusia merupakan paradigma pembangunan yang menempatkan manusia sebagai fokus dan sasaran akhir dari seluruh kegiatan pembangunan yang didalamnya termasuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Guru merupakan orang yang menggeluti dunia pendidikan secara langsung dilapangan karena berkaitan dengan proses belajar mengajar maka guru harus memiliki berbagai karakteristik professional. Salah satu kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah yaitu dengan sertifikasi guru. Besarnya sertifikasi guru adalah sebesar satu kali gaji pokok yang diharapkan mampu emningktkan kondisi sosial ekonomi guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas sertifikasi guru SMA Negeri terhadap peningkatan kondisi sosial ekonomi guru di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan mix methode yaitu menggabungkan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitaif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukan efektifivitas sertifikasi guru terhadap peningkatan kondisi sosial ekonomi guru SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung sudah Efektif, baik dari variabel pendidikan yang persentasenya mencapai 81,65 persen sudah sangat efektif, perumahan 57,53 persen efektif, waktu luang 66,14 persen efektif, konsumsi 66,80 persen efektif dan tabungan 68,93 efektif.
