Abstract. This research is motivated because the number of women employee in the field of industry has increased quite rapidly. This happened about three hundred thousand workers in the garment factory were asked to work almost all day, or about 22 hours, without being calculated overtime at all. The purpose of this study is to determine the cause of PT. X Depok City employs female workers linked to Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Employment and to find out the legal protection for women in PT. X Depok City is reviewed by Law Number 13 Year 2003 on Manpower.The research method used in this thesis is to use the normative juridical approach approach to study the secondary data obtained in connection with the problems studied. The data obtained are then analyzed qualitatively. The research specification used is analytical descriptive, followed by data collection method through library study and interview.Based on the results of research contained in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 Article 27, states that, Every citizen is entitled to work and livelihood that is suitable for humanity. In practice, there are still several terms and conditions in the Act that have been fulfilled by PT. X, but still some are violated. In addition, in fact, PT. X still applies working hours for 17 or 22 hours without overtime pay, this certainly violates the provisions in the Manpower Act. About the legal protection of women in PT. X that every worker has the right to work and the right to protection.Keywords: Female Workers, Protection of Women, PT. X Depok City.Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena jumlah tenanga kerja wanita di bidang industri mengalami peningkatan yang cukup pesat. Hal ini terjadi sekitar tiga ratus ribu pekerja di pabrik garmen diminta bekerja nyaris seharian, atau sekitar 22 jam, tanpa dihitung lembur sama sekali. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab PT. X Kota Depok mempekerjakan pekerja wanita dihubungkan dengan Undang – Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 Tentang Ketenegakerjaan serta untuk mengetahui perlindungan hukum bagi wanita di PT. X Kota Depok ditinjau Undang – Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 Tentang Ketenagakerjaan.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah menggunakan menggunakan metode pendekatan yuridis normatif yang betujuan untuk mengkaji data sekunder yang didapatkan dalam hubungannya dengan permasalahan yang diteliti. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif. Spesifikasi penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis, dilanjutkan dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui cara studi kepustakaan dan wawancara.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang terdapat pada Undang – Undang Republik Indonesia 1945 Pasal 27 ayat (2), menyatakan bahwa, Tiap – tiap warga Negara berhak atas pekerjaan dan pengihidupan yang layak bagi kemanusiaan. Dalam praktiknya, masih ada beberapa syarat dan ketentuan dalam Undang – Undang tersebut telah dipenuhi oleh PT. X, akan tetapi masih ada juga yang dilanggar. Selain itu, pada nyatanya PT. X masih menerapkan jam kerja selama 17 atau 22 jam tanpa uang lembur, hal ini tentu melanggar ketentuan dalam Undang- Undang Ketenagakerjaan. Perihal mengenai perlindungan hukum terhadap wanita di PT. X bahwa setiap pekerja memiliki hak atas pekerjaan dan hak untuk perlindungan.Kata Kunci : Pekerja Wanita, Perlindungan Wanita, PT.
