Hubungan Antara Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Self Efficacy pada Siswa Kelas Akselerasi SMAN "X" Bandung

dc.description Abstract. Acceleration program of SMAN X Bandung has many characteristics for the students get in the acceleration class to support in learning process. Thus, only sort list candidates will be selected to this program. One of the requirements are the students should have a minimum IQ 130, task commitment and high creativity. Many characteristics indicate that they were found problem in learning process. Nevertheless, most of the students of SMAN X Bandung had many problems in learning process. One of the problems is the student was not convinced of his or her ability while he found a difficulty task. He or she tends to choose an easy task then takes remedial course in some lessons during the exam.  According to Bandura (1986), emotional state is one of self efficacy sources. The state you are in will influence how you judge your self-efficacy. This research consists of 25 respondents from the students on acceleration class in 2019. This research aims to find correlation between emotional intelligence and self efficacy. The correlation coefficient indicates that emotional intelligence is possitive correlated with self efficacy 0,785.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Self Efficacy,  AccelerationAbstrak. Program Akselerasi SMAN X Bandung memiliki banyak karakteristik untuk siswa nya masuk ke dalam kelas akselerasi yang dapat menunjang dalam proses belajarnya. Sehingga, siswa yang masuk dalam program tersebut tidaklah sembarang siswa. Salah satunya ialah memiliki IQ minimal 130, task commitment, dan kreativitas yang tinggi. Dilihat dari beberapa karakteristik yang ada seharusnya tidak ditemukan masalah dalam proses belajar mengajarnya. Namun berbeda dengan para siswa di SMAN X Bandung. Sebagian besar siswa mendapatkan beberapa masalah dalam proses belajarnya. Salah satunya ialah siswa merasa tidak yakin akan kemampuannya ketika menghadapi tugas  yang sulit, siswa cenderung memilih tugas yang mudah saja dan terdapat remedial ketika ujian dalam beberapa pelajaran. Menurut Bandura (1986) bahwa salah satu sumber dari self efficacy adalah kondisi emosi. Suasana hati atau mood dapat mempengaruhi penilaian seseorang akan kemampuan diri.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi pada siswa kelas akselerasi angatan 2019 dengan responden sebanyak 25 orang yang bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa erat korelasi antara kecerdasan emosi dengan self efficacy. Hasil korelasi menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,785 yang menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang erat antara kecerdasan emosi dengan self efficacy.Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosi, Self efficacy, Akselerasi
