dc.description Abstract. Education aims to create individuals who excel both intellectually and character. Character education  is the deliberate effort to help people understand, care about, and act upon core ethical values (Likona, 2012). According to Lickona, character education in elementary schools is important in order to train students to begin assessing what is good and what is not good or what action should be taken to responding a problem. The implementation of character education at the elementary school is carried out in several ways such as through teaching and learning activities, habituation, and extracurricular activities. The process of applying character education in Pajagalan elementary School includes aspects of character education according to Thomas Lickona (2012), namely moral knowing, moral feeling, moral action. This study aims to obtain empirical data regarding the process of applying character education in SDN 023 Pajagalan Bandung. This study uses a descriptive method with quantitative assessment. Data were obtained from 25 teachers who taught at Pajagalan Elementary School Bandung who were given a Twelve Component Assessment and Planning (TCAP) questionnaire. The results of the implementation by teachers is in accordance with 12 effective character education approaches. The one with the highest score is Concience of Craft while the lowest one is Teaching Character Through the Curriculum. Based on these results, it is expected that the character education program is well designed in the curriculum. In addition, schools can also work with parents to create students who have good character.Keywords: Implementation, Character Education, Elementary School Abstrak. Pendidikan bertujuan untuk menciptakan individu yang unggul baik secara intelektual maupun karakter. Pendidikan karakter merupakan usaha yang disengaja untuk membantu seseorang sehingga dapat memahami, memperhatikan, dan melakukan nilai-nilai etika inti (Lickona, 2012). Menurut Lickona, pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar merupakan  hal yang penting dalam rangka melatih siswa untuk mulai memberikan penilaian terhadap apa yang baik dan apa yang tidak baik atau apa tindakan yang harus diambil ketika menghadapi suatu masalah. Impementasi pendidikan karakter di SD 023 Pajagalan dilakukan melalui beberapa cara seperti melalui kegiatan belajar mengajar, pembiasaan, dan ektrakulikuler. Proses penerapan pendidikan karakter tersebut meliputi aspek pendidikan karakter menurut Thomas Lickona (2012) yaitu moral knowing, moral feeling,  dan  moral action. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empiris mengenai proses penerapan pendidikan karakter di SDN 023 Pajagalan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendektan kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dari 25 guru yang mengajar di SDN 023 Pajagalan yang diberikan kuesioner Twelve Component Assessement and Planning (TCAP). Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwa penerapan pendidikan karakter yang dilakukan guru sudah sesuai dengan 12 pendekatan pendidikan karakter yang efektif. Adapun pendeketan yang memiliki skor tertinggi adalah Concience of Craft sementara yang terendah adalah Teaching Character Through the Curriculum. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diharapkan program pendidikan karakter dirancang dengan baik dalam kurikulum. Selain itu, sekolah juga dapat  bekerjasama dengan orang tua untuk menciptakan siswa yang memiliki karkater baik.Kata Kunci: Penerapan, Pendidikan Karakter, Sekolah Dasar
