Abstract. Substitute Clerk is one of the law enforcement tools that is considered important in their existence. Because Substitute Clerk that helps Judge in the trial processes, especially record the cases from the beginning of the indictment reading until the reading of the verdict. The number of violations and various cases in the District Court of Bandung made the number of cases explode and demanded physical and psychological endurance of the Substitute Clerks. However, as many as 45% of Substitute Clerks have dedicated themselves more than 10 years to their work. This commitment is not only limited to the defense of the organization, but also contributes to the success of organizational goals by adhering to organizational values. This is inseparable from the personality of Substitute Clerks itself. The purpose of this study is to find out how much the contribution of big five personality traits to organizational commitment on Substitute Clerk in the District Court of Bandung. Method used in this study is contribution method. The subject is in this study were 44 Substitute Clerks. Measurements are made using the big five inventory (BFI) from John, Donahue & Kentle, and organizational commitment that is derived from Mowday, Steers & Porter theory. Based on the study conducted, among the five traits of big five personality that are extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience, there are only one that give significant influence to the organizational commitment (p < 0.05) that is conscientiousness with 0.002 in the significance.Keywords: big five personality, organizational commitment, Substitute Clerk Abstrak. Panitera Pengganti merupakan salah satu alat penegak hukum yang dianggap penting keberadaannya. Sebab Panitera Pengganti lah yang membantu Hakim dalam proses persidangan khususnya pencatatan perkara sejak awal pembacaan dakwaan hingga dibacakannya putusan. Banyaknya pelanggaran dan berbagai kasus yang ada di wilayah Pengadilan Negeri Bandung membuat jumlah perkara membludak dan menuntut ketahanan fisik maupun psikis Panitera Pengganti itu sendiri. Meskipun demikian, sebanyak 45% Panitera Pengganti telah mengabdikan dirinya pada pekerjaannya selama lebih dari 10 tahun. Komitmen tersebut tidak hanya sebatas pada kebertahanan pada organisasi saja, tapi juga turut mensukseskan tujuan organisasi dengan mematuhi nilai-nilai organisasi. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari kepribadian Panitera Pengganti itu sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi tipe kepribadian big five personality terhadap komitmen organisasi pada Panitera Pengganti di Pengadilan Negeri Kelas IA Bandung. Metoda yang digunakan adalah metoda kontribusi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 44 orang Panitera Pengganti. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur the big five inventory (BFI) dari John, Donahue & Kentle dan komitmen organisasi yang diturunkan dari teori Mowday, Steers & Porter. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, diantara kelima tipe kepribadian big five personality yaitu extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, dan openness to experience, hanya ada satu yang memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi (p < 0.05) yaitu trait conscientiousness dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.002.Kata Kunci: big five personality, komitmen organisasi, Panitera Pengganti
