Abstrak. High School 1 Cililin is one of the schools located in West Bandung regency. There is a special class that consist of selected student base on the previous examination. Unfortunately, the students cannot achieve more due to the lack of efforts in getting good score. Based on preliminary observation, student never get some support and comment when they are getting into the trouble which means they need more motivation. Achievement motivation is an effort to achieve success or succeed in competition with a measure of excellence that can be in the form of other people's achievements or their own achievements. This research is aimed to know how significant is the relationship between social support and achievment motivation on the second grade social studies of  Senior High School 1 Cililin students. Correlations method is used to describes booth variable. The participants are selected with purposive sampling to the second grade social studies of  Senior High School 1 Cililin and it consist of 25 students. The questionnaires to collect the data and analyze the questionnares by using likert scales. The questionnaires are constructed by the researcher based on social support theory from sarafino and achievment motivation by McCeland. This research use spearman rank that shows positive relationship between social support and achievment motivation (rs= 0,554), it means  the more students get some social support, the more they will get achievment motivation.Keywords: Achievement Motivation, Social Support, Social Studies           Abstrak. SMA Negeri 1 Cililin merupakan salah satu sekolah yang berada di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Pada SMAN 1 Cililin ini terdapat satu kelas dimana siswa dalam kelas ini merupakan siswa – siswa unggulan tetapi memiliki prestasi yang rendah karena ketika di dalam kelas sering kali tidak berusaha dengan maksimal untuk mendapatkan nilai yang baik. Motivasi berprestasi adalah usaha mencapai sukses atau berhasil dalam kompetisi dengan suatu ukuran keunggulan yang dapat berupa prestasi orang lain maupun prestasi sendiri. Siswa – siswa ini juga merasa teman – teman di kelasnya sering kali tidak pernah memberikan semangat dan membantu ketika ada teman lain yang kesulitan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat seberapa erat hubungan social support dengan motivasi berprestasi pada siswa kelas XI IIS 1 SMAN 1 Cililin. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas XI IIS 1 SMAN 1 Cililin sebanyak 25 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan merupakan questionaire dengan skala likert yang konstruksikan sendiri oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori social support dari Sarafino dan teori motivasi berprestasi dari McCelland. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Rank Spearman dengan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara social support dari  dengan motivasi berprestasi (rs=0,554) artinya, semakin tinggi social support yang diterima maka semakin tinggi motivasi berprestasi begitu pula sebaliknya.Kata Kunci: Kelas XI IIS, Motivasi Berprestasi, Social Support
