Academic corruption is a problem that everyone talks about in universities especially UNISBA. So does psychology faculty of UNISBA, it has the same problem such as plagiarism, cooperation in the examination, opening textbook or gadget in the examintaion time, forging data, signing other’s signature, copying other’s answer in the examination and so on. The punishment seem does not make the doers give up. The reasons behind those corruptions is fear and anxiety that they can not join the examination. They are worried to restudy the subjects, lazy to do tasks, helpful for friends, frightened to be avoided by others, and very bad competitor. Those bahaviours are explained by McCarae and Costa in their big five personality theory including: neuroticism (N), extraversion (E), openness to new experience (O), agreeableness (A), conscientiousness (C). Those typical personalities have either high and low. The objective of this study is to describe students’ personality who did academic corruption especially in psychology faculty class X. The sample of the population is 35 students of UNISBA. From the data calculation using big five measuring instrument arranged by Goldberg in International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) website. The results show that personality type of the students is high neurotic type, low extraversion, low openness, low agreeable, and low consientiousness (N↑E↓O↓A↓C↓). It means that they have high anxiety, inconfident, lazy, immoral, goalless to do something. |

Kecurangan akademik merupakan masalah yang paling sering dibicara-kan di perguruan tinggi termasuk di Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA). Fakultas psikologi sebagai salah satu fakultas favorit di UNISBA memiliki masalah yang sama, seperti plagiarisme, bekerjasama saat ujian, membuka buku atau gadget saat ujian, memalsukan data, menyontek, menandatangani absen teman, dan lain-lain. Hukuman yang berlaku tampaknya tidak membuat jera bagi pelakunya. Beberapa alasan mengapa mahasiswa melakukan kecurangan akademik adalah takut atau cemas tidak bisa mengikuti ujian, cemas mengulang mata kuliah, malas menger-jakan tugas, ingin membantu teman, takut dijauhi teman, dan tidak mau tersaingi oleh temannya. Perilaku-perilaku tersebut oleh McCrae dan Costa dijelaskan pada teori kepribadian big five yang meliputi: neuroticism (N), extraversion (E), openness to new experience (O), agreeableness (A), conscientiousness (C). Tipe-tipe kepribadian ini memiliki nilai tinggi dan rendah sehingga dapat memprediksi sifat-sifat dari suatu kepribadian. Penelitian ini ingin melihat profil kepribadian mahasiswa yang melakukan kecurangan akademik di fakultas psikologi angkatan X. Peneliti mengambil sampelyang sudah sesuai dengan kriteria dan jumlahnya adalah 35 mahasiswa. Setelah melakukan perhitungan dan pengolahan data dari alat ukur big five yang disusun oleh Goldberg dalam International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) website. Diketahui bahwa tipe kepribadian mahasiswa psikologi angkatan X yang melakukan kecurangan akademik adalah Tipe neurotic tinggi, extraversion rendah, openness rendah, agreeable rendah, dan conscientiousness rendah (N↑E↓O↓A↓C↓) artinya memiliki sifat cemas yang tinggi, tidak percaya diri, malas, tidak memiliki moralitas, tidak memiliki tujuan dan rencana-rencana dalam melakukan sesuatu. |
