dc.description Abstract. This study was conducted to determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of green grass jelly (Cyclea barbata Miers) leave against Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes, determine the value of MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration), and determine the value of equality antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of leaves of green grass jelly with clindamycin. Extraction was made with maceration using 96% ethanol, the extract was tested its activity using agar diffusion method using paper disc method at multiple concentrations. The results obtained showed that there was antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of green grass jelly leave against Staphylococcus epidermidis and Propionibacterium acnes. The ethanol extract of green grass jelly leaves has antibacterial activity with MIC of 7.5% against Staphylococcus epidermidis and 7% against Propionibacterium acnes with diameters of  consecutive resistor 3,26 mm and 2,86 mm. Equality value ethanol extract of the leaves of green grass jelly to clindamycin antibacterial activity of 1 mg ethanol extract of leaves of green grass jelly is equivalent to 0.215 mg of clindamycin has against Staphylococcus epidermidis and 1 mg of ethanol extract of leaves of green grass jelly is equivalent to 0,035 mg of clindamycin against Propionibacterium acnes.Keywords: Antibacterial, leave green grass jelly (Cyclea barbata Miers), Staphylococcus epidermidis, Propionibacterium acnes.Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau (Cyclea barbata Miers) terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Propionibacterium acnes, menentukan nilai KHM (Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum), dan menentukan nilai kesetaraan aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau dengan klindamisin. Ekstraksi dibuat dengan maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%, ekstrak diuji aktivitasnya dengan metode difusi agar menggunakan cara cakram kertas pada beberapa konsentrasi. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Propionibacterium acnes. Ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau memiliki aktivitas antibakteri dengan KHM 7,5% terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis dan 7% terhadap Propionibacterium acnes dengan diameter hambat berturut-turut 3,26 mm dan 2,86 mm. Nilai kesetaraan ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau terhadap klindamisin memiliki aktivitas antibakteri 1 mg ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau setara dengan 0,215 mg klindamisin terhadap Staphylococcus epidermidis dan 1 mg ekstrak etanol daun cincau hijau setara dengan 0,035 mg klindamisin terhadap Propionibacterium acnes. Kata kunci: Antibakteri, daun cincau hijau (Cyclea barbata Miers), Staphylococcus epidermidis, Propionibacterium acnes.
