Abstract. Profits are the main goal of economic and business activities. Accounting information regarding operating activities and the company's financial position can be obtained through financial reports by analyzing financial ratios. This study was conducted to determine a model that illustrates the relationship between financial ratios to profitability at state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The purpose of this paper is to determine the regression formula using the least squares method, and apply the lower-upper (LU) gauss decomposition method in determining the model of the effect of financial ratios on profitability at banks. In this case the model is directed in the form of multiple linear regression. In finding the regression model, the first thing to do is to create a Linear Equation System (SPL) using the regression formula obtained using the least squares method. The SPL coefficient is determined using LU gauss decomposition. From the model obtained it can be stated that NIM financial ratios have a positive effect on profitability, while BOPO and CAR have a negative effect on profitability.Keywords: Lower-Upper Gauss Decomposition Method, Financial Ratios, Profitability.Abstrak. Keuntungan merupakan tujuan utama dari kegiatan ekonomi dan bisnis. Informasi akuntasi mengenai kegiatan operasi dan posisi keuangan perusahaan dapat diperoleh melalui laporan keuangan yaitu dengan menganalisis rasio keuangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui model yang menggambarkan hubungan antara rasio keuangan terhadap profitabilitas pada bank persero yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk menentukan rumus regresi dengan menggunakan metode kuadrat terkecil, dan mengaplikasikan metode dekomposisi lower-upper (LU) gauss dalam menentukan model pengaruh rasio keuangan terhadap profitabilitas pada bank. Dalam hal ini model diarahkan dalam bentuk regresi linier berganda. Dalam mencari model regresi tersebut hal pertama yang dilakukan adalah membuat Sistem Persamaan Linier (SPL) dengan menggunakan rumus regresi yang didapat dengan menggunakan metode kuadrat terkecil. Koefisien SPL ditentukan menggunakan dekomposisi LU gauss. Dari model yang didapat dapat dinyatakan bahwa rasio keuangan NIM memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap profitabilitas, sedangkan BOPO dan CAR berpengaruh negatif terhadap profitabilitas.Kata kunci : Metode Dekomposisi Lower-Upper Gauss, Rasio Keuangan, Profitabilitas.
