dc.description Abstract. PT Harita Nikel is a company operating in the field of nickel mining and ore processing into nickel products. PT Harita Nikel is located in Kawasi Village, Obi District, South Halmahera Regency of North Maluku Province consisting of hills containing nickel ore deposits. As we know to make a product of nickel ore nickel is required by smelting with coal combustion, the result of the smelting of Nickel Ore is usually contained residual or non concentrate material that is slag, and the result of coal combustion is in the form of bottom ash and fly ash. The result of the smelting usually has a considerable volume, hence the need for a geotechnical study to support the design of the pile of material in order not to accumulate the material so that it can disrupt the running of production operations. Data required for slope analysis is obtained from laboratory testing of bottom ash, fly ash and slag materials. By testing physical and mechanical properties it will get cohesion, friction angel and weight unit. In addition to testing of embankment material, testing of the base soil is required to withstand the load, the test results are used to find the carrying capacity of the soil. This slope analysis is performed for single slopes and entire slopes using the Bishop method with Rocscience Slide 6.0 software. Single stack slope recommendation on bottom ash material is 2m height and angle 60 ° with FK result 1.635, fly ash material 4m and angle 60 ° with result of FK 1.4243, material slag 8m and angle 40 ° with result of FK 1,202, then material mix 6m and 40 ° shrinkage with result of FK 1,317. Furthermore, for overall slope recommendations on bottom ash and fly ash can not be formed the embankment geometry due to the weak material, the slag material obtained safe geometry with a height of 15m and an angle of 20 ° with a value of 1.320 FK, and the geometry of the high mixture material 15m and the angle 20 ° with value of FK 1,262.Keywords: Bottom Ash, Fly Ash, Slag, Single Slope, Overall Slope, Soil Bearing CapacityAbstrak. PT Harita Nikel merupakan perusahaan yang beroperasi dalam bidang penambangan nikel dan pengolahan bijih menjadi produk nikel. PT Harita Nikel terletak di Desa Kawasi, Kecamatan Obi, Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan Provinsi Maluku Utara yang terdiri dari perbukitan yang mengandung endapan bijih nikel. Seperti yang telah kita ketahui untuk menjadikan sebuah produk dari nikel bijih nikel ini diperlukan peleburan dengan pembakaran batubara, hasil dari peleburan Bijih Nikel ini biasanya terdapat material sisa atau non concentrate yaitu slag, dan hasil dari pembakaran batubara yaitu berupa bottom ash dan fly ash. Hasil peleburan tersebut biasanya mempunyai volume yang cukup banyak, maka dari itu diperlukannya sebuah studi geoteknik untuk mendukung desain timbunan material agar tidak terjadinya penumpukkan material sehingga dapat mengganggu berjalannya operasi produksi. Data yang diperlukan untuk analisis lereng didapat dari hasil pengujian laboratorium material bottom ash, fly ash dan slag. Dengan uji sifat fisik dan mekanik maka akan didapatkan cohesion, friction angel dan unit weight. Selain pengujian terhadap material timbunan, diperlukan pengujian terhadap tanah dasar untuk menahan beban timbunan, hasil pengujian tersebut digunakan untuk mencari nilai daya dukung tanah. Analisis lereng ini dilakukan untuk lereng tunggal dan lereng keseluruhan dengan menggunakan metode Bishop dengan software Rocscience Slide 6.0. Rekomendasi lereng timbunan tunggal pada material bottom ash yaitu tinggi 2m dan sudut 60° dengan hasil FK 1,635, material fly ash 4m dan sudut 60° dengan hasil FK 1,4243, material slag 8m dan sudut 40° dengan hasil FK 1,202, kemudian material campuran 6m dan susut 40° dengan hasil FK 1,317. Selanjutnya untuk rekomendasi lereng keseluruhan pada bottom ash dan fly ash tidak dapat dibentuk geometri timbunan karena material lemah, pada material slag didapat geometri yang aman dengan tinggi 15m dan sudut 20° dengan nilai FK 1,320, dan geometri material campuran tinggi 15m dan sudut 20° dengan nilai FK 1,262.Kata Kunci: Bottom Ash, Fly Ash, Slag, Lereng Tunggal, Lereng Keseluruhan, Daya Dukung Tanah
