The activities of waste disposal in landfill Leuwigajah which implemented a
system of open dumping in the process of gradually landfill will cause some
environmental pollution, one of which is groundwater pollution in the environment
around the landfill Leuwigajah caused by the seepage of leachate. Seepage of
leachate water into the ground will cause a decline in the quality of ground water
either physics, chemistry or biology groundwater. The aim of this study was to
determine zoning and environmental conditions of groundwater based on
parameters Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) and Electrical Conductivity (DHL), which
refers to the Kepmen ESDM Nomor 1451.K / 10 / MEM / 2000. Futhermore, it had
been created a map of water quality based on the above parameters, and determine
the grade of water at the study site.
The research method used is to test quality of ground water either directly in
the field or in the laboratory, making the distribution of water quality by using the
software Surfer 9 (isoline maps), and predict the dispersal patterns of DHL and TDS
from water quality analysis using regression equation.
From the identification and analysis of groundwater quality. locations around
the landfill Leuwigajah categorized as a safety zone with a decrease in water quality
following the topography (based map isolines) that is from the Northeast toward
Southwestern, and included into the category of Class I under Regulation No. 82 of
2001, where the quality of ground water in the vicinity of the study can be
consumed. Safe zone is an area that meets one of the criteria of a decrease in the
quality of ground water that is characterized by the increase of TDS that is less than
1.000 mg/L or less than 1,000 DHL μmhos/cm.
Adanya aktivitas pembuangan sampah di TPA Leuwigajah yang menerapkan sistem open dumping pada proses penimbunan sampah secara perlahan akan menyebabkan beberapa pencemaran lingkungan, salah satunya adalah pencemaran air tanah di lingkungan sekitar TPA Leuwigajah yang diakibatkan oleh adanya perembesan air lindi. Rembesan air lindi yang masuk kedalam tanah akan menyebabkan penurunan kualitas air tanah baik secara fisika, kimia, maupun biologi air tanah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah melakukan pengujian kualitas air tanah baik secara langsung di lapangan maupun di laboratorium, membuat arah sebaran kualitas air (peta isoline) dengan menggunakan software Surfer 9 dan memprediksi pola penyebaran TDS dan DHL dari analisis kualitas air dengan menggunakan persamaan regresi. Dari hasil identifikasi dan analisis kualitas air tanah, lokasi sekitar TPA Leuwigajah dikategorikan sebagai zona aman dengan penurunan kualitas air mengikuti keadaan topografinya (berdasarkan peta isoline) yaitu dari arah Timur Laut menuju Barat Daya, dan termasuk ke dalam kategori Kelas I berdasarkan PP RI No. 82 Tahun 2001, dimana kualitas air tanah di sekitar lokasi penelitian dapat dikonsumsi. Zona aman adalah daerah yang memenuhi salah satu penurunan kriteria kualitas air tanah yang ditandai dengan peningkatan TDS yang kurang dari 1.000 mg/L atau DHL kurang dari 1.000 μmhos/cm.
