Abstract. Resources are obtained through calculation and analysis of exploration data including drilling and mapping data. The research was conducted in a land concession owned by CV. Atap Tri Utama located in Muarakembang Village, Muarajawa Subdistrict, Kutai District, East Kalimantan Province with an area of 231 Ha. It is known that in the research area 8 coal seams are obtained with the general direction of the strike for each of the coal seams in the Northeast trending research area with the dip of the layer about 9-19º. In the research area it is believed that there is no geological structure that can affect the distribution of coal. Interpretation of the subsurface model is done visually (lateral) and side (vertical) surfaces obtained through coal correlation between the drilling point and the mapping. The model is laterally represented by the structure contours that have elevation description with the unit mdpl. This model aims to provide information on the direction of the distribution of coal visible above. For the model is vertically made with a cross-sectional line that is 100 m for blocks 1 and 150 m for blocks 2 and 3. The direction of the line parallel to the direction of the slope. Resource calculations are performed for each seam of coal with a depth of -75 m depth. The calculation result obtained total of coal resource that is equal to 5,339,142,15 m3 with class of resource of seam A, B, C, and D belong to the indicated resource, while seam E, F, G, H belong to measured resource. For overburden volume calculation is obtained as big. 45,393,247 m3.Keywords: Exploration, Coal Modelling, Coal ResourcesAbstrak. Sumberdaya didapatkan melalui perhitungan serta analisis terhadap data eksplorasi yang meliputi data pengeboran dan pemetaan. Penelitian dilakukan di konsesi lahan milik CV. Atap Tri Utama yang terletak di daerah Desa Muarakembang, Kec. Muarajawa, Kab, Kutai, Prov. Kalimantan Timur dengan luasan area 231 Ha. Diketahui pada daerah penelitian didapatkan 8 buah seam batubara dengan arah umum jurus (strike) untuk tiap lapisan batubara pada daerah penelitian berarah Timur Laut dengan kemiringan (dip) lapisan sekitar 9 - 19º. Pada daerah penelitian diyakini tidak terdapat adanya struktur geologi yang dapat mempengaruhi sebaran batubara. Interpretasi model bawah permukaan dilakukan secara tampak pemukaan (lateral) dan samping (vertikal) yang diperoleh melalui korelasi batubara antar titik pemboran serta pemetaan. Model secara lateral ditunjukkan oleh kontur struktur yang memiliki keterangan elevasi dengan satuan mdpl. Model ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai arah sebaran batubara secara tampak atas. Untuk model secara vertikal dibuat dengan garis penampang yang berjarak 100 m untuk blok 1 dan 150 m untuk blok 2 dan 3. Adapun arah garis sejajar dengan arah kemiringannya.. Perhitungan sumberdaya dilakukan untuk tiap seam batubara dengan batasan kedalaman -75 m. Hasil perhitungan didapat total sumberdaya batubara yaitu sebesar 5.339.142,15 m3 dengan kelas sumberdaya seam A, B, C, dan D tergolong sumberdaya terunjuk, sedangkan seam E, F, G, H tergolong sumberdaya terukur.
