Abstract. PT. Lucas Djaja is one of the companies that work in the pharmaceutical industry which produces various types of drugs such as syrup, tablets, capsules and effervescent (tablets that produce gas dissolved in water) and others. The number of departments owned by the company certainly has activities that are interrelated or not, especially in various parts of drug machines. Based on observations and interviews that have been conducted, the arrangement of the layout of existing facilities has not been well organized, so that it can hinder the flow of material and the work of the operator while working. In the corridor that is used for a way by staff and walking pallet that passes to move material there are blocked because of the presence of products that are on the corridor. This happens because this factory doesn’t have a warehouse for finished products to keep products. Designing a facility layout to fix problems that exist in the company, especially in terms of adding warehouse facilities to finished products and minimizing material handling costs by using CORELAP (Computerized Relationship Layout Planning) algorithms so we can get the best layouts for PT. Lucas Djaja. Based on the results of data processing there is a reduction in material handling costs for each material flow for the 3 product types if using a layout that has been designed using the CORELAP algorithm, the reduction in material handling costs consists of: capsule products with a cost reduction by Rp.28.811,60 (reduction by 46.00%), tablet products reduction by Rp.23.546.70 (reduction by 20.31%), and syrup products reduction by Rp.13.564,34 (reduction by 30.31%). This reduce can benefit the company because using the designed layout can save the total material handling costs for the three types of products up to 29.52%.Keywords: Facility Layout, CORELAP AlgorithmsAbstrak. PT. Lucas Djaja merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang industri farmasi yang memproduksi berbagai jenis obat seperti: obat sirup, tablet, kapsul dan effervescent (tablet yang menghasilkan gas yang larut dalam air) dan lain-lain. Banyaknya departemen yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan tentu memiliki aktifitas yang saling berkaitan maupun tidak, terutama pada bagian mesin-mesin obat yang beragam. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan, penataan tata letak fasilitas yang ada belum tertata dengan baik, sehingga dapat menghambat aliran material dan pekerjaan operator saat berkerja. Pada bagian lorong yang digunakan untuk jalan pegawai dan walking pallet yang melintas untuk memindahkan material terdapat hambatan karena terdapatnya penumpukan produk yang berada dilorong. Hal ini terjadi karena pabrik ini tidak memiliki gudang produk jadi untuk menampung produk. Perancangan tata letak fasilitas untuk memperbaiki masalah yang ada pada perusahaan terutama dalam hal penambahan fasilitas departemen gudang produk jadi serta meminimalisir ongkos material handling dengan menggunakan algortima CORELAP (Computerized Relationship Layout Planning) sehingga didapatkan layout yang terbaik untuk PT. Lucas Djaja. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data terdapat pengurangan ongkos material handling pada setiap aliran material untuk 3 jenis produk yang diteliti jika menggunakan layout yang telah dirancang menggunakan algoritma CORELAP, pengurangan biaya ongkos material handling terdiri dari: pada produk kapsul terdapat penurunan ongkos sebesar Rp.28.811,60 (turun sebesar 46.00%), pada produk tablet turun sebesar Rp.23.546.70 (turun sebesar 20.31%) dan pada produk sirup turun sebesar Rp.13.564,34 (turun sebesar 30.31%). Pernurunan tersebut dapat menguntungkan perusahaan karena dengan menggunakan layout usulan dapat menghemat total ongkos material handling untuk ketiga jenis produk tersebut hingga 29.52%.Kata kunci: Tata Letak Fasilitas, Algoritma CORELAP |
