Abstract. Cartoon film is one of mass communication media that has the power to change the mindset of the audience to fit the media agenda made by the communicator. Leadership style is one of the most common aspects of a cartoon."One Piece" is a Japanese anime film that has thousands of fans spread all over the world. The cartoon film’s theme is about a group of pirates who sailed the ocean to become the king of pirates and find the biggest treasure called One Piece. The figure of a captain who has a good leadership style greatly influenced him to get the title of “King of Pirates” and get the One Piece treasure.This study researched on how and in what ways the media framed the leadership style of Monkey D. Luffy in the anime cartoon One Piece, episode of 235. This study uses a qualitative paradigm with the approach of framing analysis of William A. Gamson model. The object of this research were shown in verbal and non-verbal dialogues that occurred between Monkey D. Luffy with other characters as well as capture shot scene as research supporting data.The results of this study indicated that a leader must be ready to face a situation that has never been thought before. Decisions of a leader are very influential on common goals of a team. This study showed how the frame of leadership style of Monkey D. Luffy shown in episode 235 was categorized as autocratic leadership style. Based on the frame of central idea shown in this episode, Luffy as a captain had a tendency to make his decision firmly and precisely, this proved that his leadership style was categorized as autocratic.Keywords: Autocratic, Leadership, One Piece, Framing Analysis, Monkey D. LuffyAbstrak. Film kartun merupakan salah satu media komunikasi massa yang memiliki kekuatan untuk merubah pola pikir penonton agar sesuai dengan agenda media yang dibuat oleh komunikatornya. Gaya kepemimpinan merupakan salah satu aspek yang paling sering muncul dalam sebuah film kartun.“One Piece” merupakan sebuah film anime Jepang yang memiliki ribuan penggemar yang tersebar luas di seluruh dunia. Mengusung tema bajak laut yang mengarungi lautan untuk menjadi raja bajak laut dan menemukan harta karun terbesar One Piece. Sosok seorang kapten yang memiliki gaya kepemimpinan yang baik sangat mempengaruhi pantas atau tidaknya mendapatkan gelar raja bajak laut dan mendapatkan harta karun One Piece.Skripsi ini meneliti tentang bagaimana dan dengan cara apa media membingkai kepemimpinan Monkey D. Luffy dalam kartun anime One Piece episode 235. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis framing model William A. Gamson. Objek penelitian ini ditunjukkan pada dialog-dialog verbal dan nonverbal yang terjadi antara Monkey D. Luffy dengan tokoh-tokoh lainnya serta capture shot adegan sebagai data pendukung penelitian.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menjadi seorang pemimpin haruslah siap dalam menghadapi suatu situasi yang tidak pernah terpikirkan sebelumnya. Keputusan pemimpinan sangatlah berpengaruh terhadap tujuan bersama. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana bingkai gaya kepemimpinan Monkey D. Luffy yang ditampilkan pada episode 235 menganut gaya kepemimpinan otokratis. Berdasarkan bingkai utama atau frame central idea yang digambarkan dalam episode ini adalah keputusan tepat dengan penyampaian yang keras terdapat dalam teori kepemimpinan otokratis.
