Abstract. The objectives of this research is to analyze the effect of  CAR and NIM variables on Banking Profitability which is proxied by ROA. The data used in this study was obtained from the annual Publication Financial Report of each Bank's website for 2014-2016. The total sample of 20 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the 2014-2016 period was taken through a purposive sampling technique. The research method used is a quantitative method. The type of data used is secondary data. The number of samples in this study were 20 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2014-2016 period. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistical test with multiple regression methods and hypothesis testing using the F test and t test, which had previously been tested for classical assumptions first. The results showed that CAR and NIM simultaneously had a significant effect on ROA, while based on partial tests (t) it was concluded that the CAR variable and simultaneous NIM had a significant effect on ROA.Keyword: CAR, NIM and ROA.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel Capital Adequacy Ratio dan Net Interest Margin terhadap Profitabilitas Perbankan yang diproksikan dengan Return On Asset. Objek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Capital Adequacy Ratio, Net Interest Margin dan Return On Asset. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 20 perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di BEI sampai dengan tahun 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan rentang tahun pengamatan 2014-2016 atau 60 pengamatan (firm year). Metode yang digunakan adalah verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Capital Adequacy Ratio dan Net Interest Margin memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Return On Asset. Saran bagi perusahaan agar meningkatan kinerja perusahaan tiap tahunnya agar mampu bersaing dalam memperoleh kepercayaan dari investor sehingga memudahkan untuk memperoleh modal dari luar perusahaan.Kata Kunci : CAR, NIM dan ROA.
