"The environmental performance of companies (environmental performance) is the company's performance in creating a good environment (green). The concept of environmental performance begins to be applied because of the activities of the company in achieving its goals is often make a bad impact on the community and environment. Along with this, the company begins to improve its environmental performance to be able to support the company's profitability. The purpose of this study is to assess the environmental performance of mining companies listed on the Stock Exchange, to determine the development of profitability of mining companies listed on the Stock Exchange, and to determine the influence of environmental performance on the company’s profitability.
This research is conducted on the mining company listed on the Stock Exchange in the period 2013-2014 but using verification and quantitative research methods. Source of data used is secondary data. The data collection techniques used are technical documentation. Sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. Testing the hypothesis uses simple linear regression analysis and statistical tests ( t-test ).
The results show that the majority of mining companies listed on the Stock Exchange 2013-2014 period shows no change on the level of environmental performance from 2013-2014. Yet, if seen from the development of the company's profitability, eight companies experince a decrease and four companies experienced an increase in ROA. The Environmental performance do have impact on the profitability in the period 2013-2014 of the mining company.

Kinerja lingkungan perusahaan (environmental performance) adalah kinerja perusahaan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang baik (green). Konsep kinerja lingkungan mulai diterapkan karena dalam aktivitas perusahaan dalam mencapai tujuannya sering kali terdapat dampak yang buruk terhadap masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Seiring dengan hal tersebut perusahaan mulai meningkatkan kinerja lingkungannya karena dianggap mampu mendukung tingkat profitabilitas perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kinerja lingkungan perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI, untuk mengetahui perkembangan profitabilitas perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI, dan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh kinerja lingkungan terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI periode tahun 2013-2014 dengan metode penelitian verifikatif dan kuantitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi. Teknik penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu purposive sampling. Pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana dan uji statistik (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kinerja lingkungan dan perkembangan profitabilitas pada perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di BEI periode tahun 2013-2014 termasuk dalam kriteria yang baik. Kinerja lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas pada perusahaan pertambangan periode tahun 2013-2014. |
