Abstract. Poverty is a multidimensional problem related to economic, social and political aspects. Social poverty is a condition of the social and economic inability of the poor to fulfill basic living needs related to clothing, food, shelter, health, and education. The city of Bandung is the second largest city in the province of West Java with 103,980 people in 2017. Poverty is not only seen as an economic problem but related to social, because poverty has an impact on dependency, alienation, vulnerability and helplessness.This study uses quantitative descriptive research methods. Samples taken were 270 respondents from the poor population of Bandung City with the technique of determining samples using Issac and Michael tables. The measurement used is a Likert scale and the data from the respondents on the five variable instruments from the factors that determine poverty socially compiled into 38 statement items, then the data obtained from the survey results are processed using SPSS version 23 and analyzed and displayed using descriptive statistics.Based on the results of the scoring, it is known that the variables of proper, powerlessness, vulnerability, dependence, and isolation are factors that determine social poverty in the city of Bandung. Of the five variables there are dominant variables in determining social poverty, namely the dependent variable.Keywords: Poverty, Dependence, Social Poverty. Abstrak. Kemiskinan merupakan persoalan yang multidimensional terkait dengan aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan politik. Kemiskinan sosial adalah kondisi ketidakmampuan kelompok miskin secara sosial maupun ekonomi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidup dasar terkait dengan sandang, pangan, papan, kesehatan, dan pendidikan. Kota Bandung merupakan kota yang memiliki penduduk miskin terbesar kedua di Provinsi Jawa Barat yaitu sebanyak 103.980 jiwa pada tahun 2017. Kemiskinan tersebut tidak hanya dipandang sebagai masalah ekonomi saja namun terkait dengan sosial, karena kemiskinan menimbulkan dampak ketergantungan, keterasingan, kerentanan, dan ketidakberdayaan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 270 responden penduduk miskin Kota Bandung dengan teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan tabel Issac dan Michael. Pengukuran yang digunakan adalah skala Likert dan data dari responden terhadap lima instrumen variabel dari faktor-faktor yang menentukan kemiskinan secara sosial disusun menjadi 38 item pernyataan, kemudian data yang didapatkan dari hasil survey diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 23 dan dianalisis serta ditampilkan menggunakan descriptive statistics.Berdasarkan hasil scoring, diketahui bahwa variabel kemiskinan, ketidakberdayaan, kerentanan, ketergantungan, dan keterasingan merupakam faktor-faktor yang menentukam kemiskinan secara sosial di Kota Bandung. Dari kelima variabel tersebut terdapat variabel yang dominan dalam menentukan kemiskinan secara sosial, yaitu variabel ketergantungan.Kata Kunci : Kemiskinan, Ketergantungan, Kemiskinan Sosial. |
