Abstract. Economic growth can cause changes in economic structure. Structural changes or structural transformation in general can be seen as changes related to changes in contribution to regional GDP. Economic structure can also affect sectors that are part of economic growth. So that regions are expected to develop priority sectors or sectors that have the advantages and potential to be developed. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in economic structure in South Lampung Regency in 2012-2016 and to find out which sectors have competitive advantages and specialization in South Lampung Regency in 2012-2016. The researcher used descriptive methods and quantitative approaches with secondary data sourced from BPS in South Lampung Regency and Lampung Province. The instrument that I use in this analysis is the Esteban-Marquillas shift share model. The results of this study (1) There is a structural shift in South Lampung District during the period 2012-2016 (2) Sectors that have competitive advantage and sector specialization each year are dominated by the secondary sector and tertiary sector.Keywords: Transformation, Specialization, Regional ExcellenceAbstrak. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dapat mengakibatkan perubahan struktur perekonomian. Perubahan struktur atau transformasi struktural secara umum dapat dilihat sebagai suatu perubahan yang berkaitan dengan perubahan kontribusi terhadap PDRB suatu daerah. Struktur ekonomi juga dapat mempengaruhi sektor-sektor yang menjadi bagian dari pertumbuhan ekonomi. Sehingga diharapkan daerah tersebut dapat mengembangkan sektor-sektor prioritas atau sektor yang memiliki keunggulan dan potensi untuk dikembangkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan struktur ekonomi di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan pada tahun 2012-2016 serta untuk mengetahui sektor aapa saja yang memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dan spesialisasi di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan pada tahun 2012-2016. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data sekunder yang bersumber pada BPS Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dan Provinsi Lampung. Instrumen yang penulis gunakan dalam analisis ini adalah shift share model Esteban-Marquillas. Hasil penelitian ini (1) Terjadi pergeseran struktur pada Kabupaten Lampung Selatan selama periode tahun 2012-2016 (2) Sektor yang memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dan spesialisaasi sektor setiap tahunnya didominasi oleh sektor sekunder dan sektor tersier.Kata Kunci: Transformasi, Spesialisasi, Keunggulan Wilayah |
