Abstrak.Meskipun kontribusi lapangan usaha pertanian, kehutanan dan perikanan terhadap PDRB Kota Tasikmalaya terus mengalami penurunan dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Namun, sesungguhnya potensinya sangat besar terutama ayam ras pedaging. Hanya saja produktivitas relatif rendah dibandingkan dengan rata-rata Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengestimasi tingkat efisiensi produksi peternakan ayam ras pedaging di Kota Tasikmalaya yang dilakukan pada 41 peternak ayam. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Fungsi Produksi Frontier Stokastik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa doc, pakan dan rasio kandang terhadap lahan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi ayam ras pedaging, hanya saja tingkat efisiensi teknis usaha ayam ras pedaging di Kota Tasikmalaya rata-rata sebesar 55 persen, artinya usaha ternak ayam ras pedaging di Kota Tasikmalaya belum efisien. Untuk meningkatkan efisiensi diharapkan para peternak harus memiliki pengetahuan yang lebih memadai.Kata Kunci :Efisiensi Teknis, Produktivitas, Fungsi Produksi Frontier StokhastikAbstract.
