Abstract. Large population growth and continues to grow every year in West Java Province leads to a growth in the number of the workforce. Increasing the workforce will be a problem if it is not balanced with the number of jobs available. This study aims to analyze the effect of changes in the number of companies and the value of output on the employment of large and medium industrial sectors in West Java Province in 2011-2015. The analytical method used in this study is a quantitative method with panel data regression and using the fixed effect model (FEM). The results obtained in this study are changes in the number of companies having a negative effect but with a coefficient of -0.001664, the effect is very small and can even be said to have no effect on the employment of large and medium industrial sectors in West Java Province. While the output value has a positive effect on the employment of large and medium industrial sectors in West Java Province. This is because with the increase in the output value it will require more labor, so that employment will increase.Keywords: Large And Medium Industries, Employment, Changes In The Number Of Companies, output value Abstrak. Pertumbuhan penduduk yang besar dan terus tumbuh setiap tahun di Provinsi Jawa Barat menyebabkan pertumbuhan jumlah angkatan kerja. Meningkatnya angkatan kerja akan menjadi masalah jika tidak diimbangi dengan jumlah lapangan pekerjaan yang tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perubahan jumlah perusahaan dan nilai output terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang di Provinsi Jawa Barat tahun 2011 – 2015. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan regresi data panel dan menggunakan fixed effect model (FEM). Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu perubahan jumlah perusahaan berpengaruh negatif namun dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -0.001664, pengaruhnya sangat kecil bahkan bisa disebut tidak berpengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Sedangkan nilai output berpengaruh positif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Hal ini disebabkan karena dengan meningkatnya nilai output maka akan membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang lebih banyak, sehingga penyerapan tenaga kerja akan meningkat.Kata Kunci: Industri Besar dan Sedang, Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja, Perubahan Jumlah Perusahaan dan Nilai Output. |
