Abstract. This study ains to determine how the development of the investment opportunity set (IOS), the size of the company and its financial performance and how they affect the investment opportunity set (IOS), size of the company and its financial performance and how the affect the investment opportunity set (IOS), size of the company’s financial performance simultaneously and partially. The samples are 10 companies listed in the Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The data used is the data derived from the financial statements, the closing price of the shares, and the number of shares utstanding. This research uses descriptive and comparative methods, while the method of sampling using purposive sampling. The results showed that the development of the investment opportunity set (IOS) for 3 years, where a lot of companies that have a value of MVA/BE below average values. And the development of the size of the company for 3 years, many companies that have the ROE value below the average value. And the results of research to influence MVE/BE (Market Value Equity to Book Value Equity) and Ln Total assets partial results positive effect on ROE (Return On Equity) and the simultaneously of the study showed that the MVE/BE is effect too.Keywords : Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), company size, ROEAbstrak. Penelitiann ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), Ukuran Perusahaan dan Kinerja Keuangan dan bagaimana pengaruhnya Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), ukuran perusahaan terhadap kinerja keuangan secara simultan maupun parsial. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 10 perusahaan yang tercatat di BEI periode 2015-2017. Data yang digunakan adalah data yang berasal dari laporan keuangan, harga penutupan saham, dan jumlah lembar saham yang beredar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif, sedangkan metode penentuan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perkembangan Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) selama 3 tahun, di mana banyak perusahaan yang memiliki nilai MVE//BE di bawah nilai rata-rata. Dan perkembangan ukuran perusahaan selama 3 tahun, di mana banyak perusahaan yang memiliki nilai Ln total asset di atas rata-rata. Sedangkan perkembangan kinerja keuangan selama 3 tahun, banyak perusahaan yang memiliki nilai ROE diatas rata-rata. Dan hasil penelitian untuk pengaruh MVE/BE (Market Value Equity to Book Value Equity) dan Ln total Aset secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap ROE (Return on Equity), dan secara simultan hasil penelitian menunjukan MVE/BE (Market Value Equity to Book Value Equity) dan Ln total Aset berpengaruh terhadap ROE.Kata Kunci : Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), Ukuran Perusahaan, ROE |
