Abstract. This research is meant to find out the influence of Market Value and Dividend Payout Ratio to Holding Period either partially or simultaneously on Indeks LQ-45 in IDX. The resesrch period use is the year 2012-2016. The research is using quantitative methods. The object of this study is a stock company listed on Indeks LQ-45. The data of this research is obtained from the annual financial statement at IDX in 2012-2016. The sampel of this research is selected by using purposive sampling technique so that it obtains 6 companies which aremeet the creteria. The result of analysi found that the Market Value has a positive and significant effect on Holding Period, and the Dividend Payout Ratio has a positive and significant effect on Holding Period. The ability of independent variables in explaining the dependent variable is 52,5%, while the rest is explain by other variables outside the research model.Keywords: Market Value, Dividend Payout Ratio, Holding PeriodAbstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh market value dan dividend payout ratio terhadap holding period saham baik secara parsial maupun simultan pada Indeks LQ45 Bursa Efek Indonesia. Periode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tahun 2012-2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan saham yang terdaftar di Indeks LQ-45. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan yang ada di IDX pada tahun 2012-2016. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh 6 perusahaan yang memenuhi kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa market value berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap holding period, dan dividend payout ratio berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap holding period. Kemampuan variabel independen dalam menjelaskan variabel dependen adalah sebesar 52,5%, sedangkan sisanya dijelaskan oleh variabel lainnya di luar model penelitian.Kata Kunci :  Market Value, Dividend Payout Ratio, Holding Period.
