The rate of exclusive breastfeeding is still low in many countries including Indonesia. One of the factors that influence the low level of exclusive breastfeeding is work factors that can lead to work stress. Research on whether there is a relationship of work-related stress to exclusive breastfeeding has not been widely studied. Thus, the researchers aimed to conduct a study to know the relationship between work stress with exclusive breastfeeding by working mother in Greater Bandung area. Data was conducted by analytical observations with cross sectional design. Data was taken by using consecutive sampling technique with 71 respondents as the research subjects. The instrument that was used as measurement is questionnaire. Data were carried out statistical tests using chi square test. The results showed that working mother who did not give exclusive breastfeeding were more compared to working mother who gave exclusive breastfeeding which amounted to 56,3%. Work stress on working mother showed that mother who experienced work stress are far less than mother who did not experience work stress which amounted to 19,7%. The results of the analysis showed that there was no statically significant relationship between work stress with exclusive breastfeeding with value p=0,816 (p>0,05). The conclusion of the research results indicated no relationship between work stress with exclusive breastfeeding by working mother in Greater Bandung area.
