Abstract. Basic immunization is one of the government programs aimed at children under five who aim to provide stimulation to form immunity to a disease. Basic immunization consists of Polio immunization, Hepatitis B, BCG, DPT, and Measles. The completeness of basic immunization in children can be influenced by several factors such as mother’s education, mother's age, mother's work, family economic conditions, and mother's level of education. This study aims to look at the relationship between the level of education of mothers with the complete status of childhood immunization. The research was conducted at Posyandu in Andir, Baleendah, Bandung Regency in a year. The cross-sectional analytical method was used in this study and the sampling method used was consecutive sampling. The results showed that from 60 sample data obtained, 41 children with mothers with secondary education showed complete basic immunization status, 1 child with mothers with high education showed complete immunization status, and 2 children with mothers with low education showed status complete immunization too. Then the data were analyzed bivariately using the chi-square equation to test the correlation between variables of maternal education level and basic immunization status in children. The test results show the value of p = 0.015 which is smaller than the value of α = 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the education level of the mother and the complete status of basic immunization in the child. This proves that mothers with better levels of education have a better understanding of the importance of immunization in children. In addition, mothers with higher education will find it easier to accept new knowledge, especially regarding the importance of health for a better family.Keywords: Immunization, Education, Mother Abstrak. Imunisasi dasar merupakan salah satu program pemerintah dengan sasaran anak berusia balita yang bertujuan sebagai pemberian rangsangan agar terbentuk kekebalan terhadap suatu penyakit. Imunisasi dasar terdiri dari imunisasi Polio, Hepatitis B, BCG, DPT, dan Campak. Kelengkapan imunisasi dasar pada anak dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti tingkat pengetahuan ibu, usia ibu, pekerjaan ibu, kondisi ekonomi keluarga, dan tingkat pendidikan ibu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan status kelengkapan imunisasi anak. Penelitian dilakukan di Posyandu Kelurahan Andir, Baleendah, Kabupaten Bandung dalam jangka waktu setahun. Metode analitik cross-sectional digunakan pada penelitian ini dan metode sampling yang digunakan merupakan consecutive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dari 60 data sampel yang didapat, 41 orang anak dengan ibu yang berpendidikan menengah menunjukan status imunisasi dasar yang lengkap, 1 orang anak dengan ibu yang berpendidikan tinggi menunjukan status imunisasi yang lengkap, dan 2 orang anak dengan ibu yang berpendidikan rendah menunjukan status imunisasi yang lengkap juga. Kemudian data tersebut dianalisis secara bivariat menggunakan persamaan chi-square untuk menguji korelasi antara variabel tingkat pendidikan ibu dan status imunisasi dasar pada anak. Hasil uji tersebut menunjukan nilai p=0,015 yang lebih kecil dari nilai a=0,05 yang berarti terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan status kelengkapan imunisasi dasar pada anak. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa ibu dengan tingkat pendidikan lebih baik lebih memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pentingnya imunisasi pada anak. Selain itu ibu dengan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi akan lebih mudah menerima akan pengetahuan yang baru khususnya mengenai pentingnya kesehatan untuk keluarga yang lebih baik.Kata Kunci : Imunisasi, Pendidikan, Ibu |
