Abstract.One of the efforts to prevent diarrhea disease in children under five years old is done through improving maternal and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in daily life. This study aims to determine the relationship between PHBS and diarrheal disease in children under five in Puskesmas Caringin from February to April 2018. Four PHBS indicator variables studied were giving exclusive breastfeeding, using clean water, washing hands with soap and running water, and using latrines that healthy. The study was conducted using obsevational analytic method with a case control approach, with a validated questionnaire. Samples were taken using a consecutive sampling method with research maternal mother with toddler who experienced diarrhea as many as 14 cases and under five children who were not diarrhea as much control 14. Data were analyzed using Chi-square test and fisher's exact. The results of data analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between PHBS and Diarrheal Disease in the Puskesmas Caringin in Bandung City (p p=0,42). PHBS is a factor that affects diarrhea, but there are other factors that can affect diarrhea.Keywords: Toddler, Diarrhea, Clean and Healthy Living BehaviorAbstrak .Salah satu upaya pencegahan kasus diare pada balita dilakukan melalui peningkatan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) ibu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara PHBS dengan penyakit diare pada balita di Puskesmas Caringin periode Februari hingga April tahun 2018. Empat variabel indikator PHBS yang diteliti yaitu memberi ASI eksklusif, menggunakan air bersih, mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air mengalir, serta menggunakan jamban yang sehat. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan kasus kontrol, dengan kuesioner yang sudah tervalidasi. Sampel diambil menggunakan metode consecutive sampling dengan subjek penelitian yaitu ibu yang memiliki balita yang mengalami diare sebagai kasus sebanyak 14 dan ibu yang memiliki balita yang tidak diare sebagai kontrol sebanyak 14. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square dan fisher’s exact. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara PHBS dengan penyakit diare di Puskesmas Caringin Kota Bandung (p=0.42). PHBS merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi penyakit diare, namun ada faktor lain juga yang dapat mempengaruhi penyakit diare.Kata kunci: Balita, Diare, Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat
