Abstract. Acne vulgaris (AV) is a chronic skin disease that occurs from chronic inflammation of pilosebasea. Acne vulgaris has a diverse clinical picture that is characterized by blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts in the predilection site which is usually at the face, chest and upper back. The purpose of this study is to find out the first treatment measures carried out by AV’s sufferers at Al-Ihsan General Hospital, West Java Province. This research is an observational descriptive study with a quantitative approach and a cross sectional study design which seeks to find a complete picture of matters relating to the first treatment performed by AV’s sufferers at Al-Ihsan General Hospital, West Java Province on September 4th to October 23rd 2018 by using questionnaire data to find out what the first treatment was done and chosen by AV’s sufferers. The results obtained from 49 respondents showed that 47% treated themselves, 31% did not seek treatment, 14% went to a skin and sex health specialist, 6% went to a beauty clinic, and 2% went to a general practitioner.Keywords : Acne vulgaris, a treatment procedureAbstrak. Akne vulgaris (AV) adalah penyakit kulit kronis yang terjadi akibat peradangan menahun pilosebasea. Akne vulgaris memiliki gambaran klinis beragam yang ditandai dengan adanya komedo, papula, pustula, nodul dan kista pada tempat predileksinya yang biasanya pada wajah, dada, dan punggung bagian atas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tindakan pengobatan pertama yang dilakukan oleh penderita AV di RSUD Al-Ihsan Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan rancangan penelitian cross sectional yaitu berusaha mencari gambaran yang lengkap mengenai hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan tindakan pengobatan pertama yang dilakukan oleh penderita AV di RSUD Al-Ihsan Provinsi Jawa Barat pada tanggal 4 September hingga 23 Oktober 2018 dengan menggunakan data kuesioner untuk mengetahui tindakan pengobatan pertama apa yang dilakukan dan dipilih oleh penderita AV. Hasil penelitian dari 49 responden memperlihatkan 47% mengobati sendiri, 31% tidak berobat, 14% berobat ke dokter spesialis ilmu kesehatan kulit dan kelamin, 6% berobat ke klinik kecantikan, dan 2% berobat ke dokter umum.Kata Kunci : Acne vulgaris, tindakan pengobatan |
