Abstract. Computer vision syndrome (CVS) is the combination of eye and vision problems associated with the use of computers. In modern western society the use of computers for both vocational and avocational activities is almost universal. These clinical symptoms are not in a clear group of symptoms. The symptoms are ranging from computer headaches, eye strain symptoms, neck pain and nausea. The aim of this study was to determine the proportion of each clinical symptoms of computer vision syndrome in college student at Universitas Islam Bandung. The study was performed using observational descriptive method with cross sectional approach. Questionnaires were used as a research instrument and distributed to 285 college student that qualified for the inclusion criteria. The results of this study were analyzed descriptively by calculating each respective proportions of the clinical symptoms of CVS and presented at the presenting tables. The results of this study showed each respective proportions of clinical symptoms of CVS. There are 86 people suffered from headache (30%), 151 people suffered from sore eyes, 62 people suffered from redness and itching of the eye (22%), 96 people suffered from blurred vision (28%), 95 people suffered from watery eyes (34%), 154 people suffered from neck pain (54%), 12 people suffered from nausea (4%). Neck pain is the main symptoms of CVS that is most commonly found. This symptom is caused by three factors such as work environment design, posture while working and sitting for long periods. This symptom may appear after the eyes have entered the resting point of accomodation or the black focus that is still being used to work.Keywords : Computer Use, Computer Vision Syndrome, Medical Student, Neck Pain. Computer Vision Syndrome Abstrak. Computer vision syndrome (CVS) adalah kombinasi dari masalah mata dan penglihatan yang terkait dengan penggunaan komputer. Dalam masyarakat barat modern penggunaan komputer untuk kegiatan kejuruan dan aktivitas hampir universal. Gejala-gejala klinis ini tidak ada pada kelompok gejala yang jelas. Gejalanya mulai dari sakit kepala komputer, gejala ketegangan mata, sakit leher, dan mual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan proporsi masing-masing gejala klinis sindrom penglihatan komputer pada mahasiswa di Universitas Islam Bandung. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Kuisioner digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian dan dibagikan kepada 285 mahasiswa yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menghitung masing-masing proporsi masing-masing dari gejala klinis CVS dan disajikan pada tabel presentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan proporsi masing-masing dari gejala klinisdari CVS. Ada 86 orang menderita sakit kepala (30%), 151 orang menderita sakit mata, 62 orang menderita mata merah dan gatal (22%), 96 orang menderita penglihatan kabur (28%), 95 orang menderita berair mata (34%), 154 orang menderita sakit leher (54%), 12 orang menderita mual (4%). Nyeri leher adalah gejala utama CVS yang paling sering ditemukan. Gejala ini disebabkan oleh tiga faktor seperti desain lingkungan kerja, postur saat bekerja dan duduk untuk waktu yang lama. Gejala ini dapat muncul setelah mata memasuki Resting Point Accomodation yang masih digunakan untuk bekerja. Kata Kunci : Mahasiswa kedokteran, Nyeri leher, Penggunaan komputer
