Male condoms are made of thin latex, polyisopren or polyurethane that aims to avoid sperm contact during sexual intercourse. The use of a consistent and correct male latex condom can reduce but not eliminate the risk of STIs including gonorrhea. The most common incidence of gonorrhea occurs at age less than 25 years, the estimated cases of gonorrhea infection in 2008 in the world was 106.1 million. The purpose of this study was to see the level of compliance of condom use when having sex with risky sexual partner. The research method used a descriptive approach by cross-sectional sampling, using questionnaires distributed to men diagnosed with gonococcal urethritis. The number of samples was obtained 14 respondents, and the results show the level of compliance of condom use at last week 12 patient was not use condom and 2 patient use condom. The results show that there were still lack of awareness in the use of condoms during sexual intercourse with risky sexual partners. Two condom users had failed to prevent gonorrhea. One user stated that there was a tear on the condom, whereas the other user had a vaginal intercourse with condoms which continued orally and vaginally without condom. The conclusions of the research was to improve promotion of consistent and correct to use condoms. |

Kondom pria terbuat dari lateks tipis, polyisopren atau polyurethane yang bertujuan untuk menghindarkan kontak sperma pada waktu berhubungan seksual. Penggunaan kondom lateks pria yang konsisten dan benar dapat mengurangi namun tidak menghilangkan risiko terjadinya IMS termasuk gonore. Insidensi tersering gonore terjadi pada usia kurang dari 25 tahun, perkiraan kasus infeksi gonore pada tahun 2008 di dunia adalah 106.1 juta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat tingkat kepatuhan pemakaian kondom ketika berhubungan seksual dengan mitra seksual berisiko. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan cara pengambilan sampel secara cross-sectional, dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada pria yang didiagnosis uretritis gonore. Jumlah sampel yang didapatkan 14 responden, dan hasilnya memperlihatkan tingkat kepatuhan pemakaian kondom pada hubungan seksual terakhir sebanyak 12 pasien tidak memakai kondom dan hanya 2 pasien yang memakai kondom. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih kurangnya kesadaran pemakaian kondom saat berhubungan seksual dengan mitra seksual berisiko. Dua orang pengguna kondom telah gagal mencegah terinfeksi gonore. Satu orang pengguna menyatakan bahwa terjadi kerobekan pada kondom, sedangkan pada pengguna lainnya melakukan hubungan vaginal dengan kondom yang dilanjutkan oral dan vaginal tanpa kondom. Simpulan dari penelitian yaitu dengan masih tingginya hubungan seksual berisiko tanpa kondom perlu ditingkatkan promosi pemakaian kondom yang konsisten dan cara pemakaian kondom yang benar. |
