Abstract The success of breastfeeding a mother needs support from various parties, namely from family, friends, community and government. There is support from various parties who are expected to reduce the challenges posed by mothers, as well as reduce information, various types of emergencies, and the most important thing is to overcome doubts about their ability to be able to pay their babies. Many factors that affect mothers do not give breast milk to their babies, both internal factors inside herself, as well as external factors from the environment. Mother's knowledge about breast milk is one of the important factors in breastfeeding success. The purpose of this study was to study the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding in Bandung City Public Hospital period 2018. Subjects were mothers breastfeeding who had babies aged ≥6-24 bulan This study used an observational quantitative analytic method using cross sectional. The sample selection technique uses consecutive sampling, with a total sample of 98 people. Data was processed by frequency distribution and chi-square statistical test. Based on the results of the research, the level of knowledge of mothers with the provision of exclusive breastfeeding in Bandung City General Hospital 2018 period was well-informed (52%) and there were still many respondents who did not give exclusive breastfeeding (53.1%). Then it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the knowledge of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding in Bandung City Public Hospital Period 2018 (p=0.525).. Keywords: Knowledge, Exclusive BreastfeedingAbstrak. Keberhasilan seorang ibu dalam menyusui memerlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak yaitu dari keluarga,teman,masyarakat dan pemerintah. Adanya dukungan dari berbagai pihak tersebut diharapkan dapat mengurangi berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi ibu menyusui, seperti mengatasi kurangnya informasi,bermacam-macam situasi emergensi,dan yang paling penting adalah mengatasi keraguan akan kemampuannya untuk dapat menyusui bayinya. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi ibu tidak memberikan ASI kepada bayinya,baik itu faktor internal dari dalam dirinya, maupun faktor eksternal dari lingkungan. Pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting dalam kesuksesan menyusui. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif di RSUD Kota Bandung periode 2018. Subjek penelitian adalah ibu menyusui yang mempunyai bayi usia ≥6-24 bulan.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuantitatif metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan crosssectional. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 98orang. Data diolah dengan distribusi frekuensi dan uji statistik chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu dengan Pemberian ASI Eksklusif di RSUD Kota Bandung Periode 2018 berpengetahuan baik(52%) dan masih banyak responden yang tidak memberikan ASI Eksklusif (53.1%). Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai p=0.525. Maka dapat disimpulkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif di RSUD Kota Bandung Periode 2018. Kata Kunci: ASI Eksklusif, Tingkat Pengetahuan
