High postprandial blood sugar levels in DM patients can lead to the formation of atherosclerosis which results in the occurrence of coronary artery disease because at the time of entering food there is an increase in LDL oxidation and directly correlates with endothelial dysfunction that can lead to thrombosis formation. Most patients with type 2 diabetes may develop atherosclerosis resulting in coronary artery disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between postprandial blood sugar level of type 2 diabetes mellitus patient and coronary artery disease at Al-Ihsan Hospital in 2016-2017. The method of this research is analytic descriptive with cross sectional design study with 68 subject subjects taken in the inpatient poly section. Subjects of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were hospitalized at Al Ihsan Hospital age> 18th. The results showed that patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 had a postprandial blood sugar level (<200) were 4 respondents, 64 respondents had postprandial blood sugar (> 200). Conclusion there is a relationship between 2 hours postprandial blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with the incidence of coronary artery disease at Al Ihsan Hospital in 2016-2017 with p-value 0.04.Kadar gula darah postprandial yang tinggi pada pasien DM dapat mengakibatkan pembentukan aterosklerosis yang berujung terjadinya penyakit arteri koroner karena pada saat memasukan makanan terjadi peningkatan oksidasi LDL dan langsung berkorelasi dengan disfungsi endotel yang dapat menyebabkan pembentukan thrombosis. Sebagian besar pasien DM tipe 2 dapat terjadi pembentukan aterosklerosis yang mengakibatkan penyakit arteri koroner. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar gula darah postprandial pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dan penyakit arteri koroner di Rumah Sakit Al-Ihsan tahun 2016-2017. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan desain potong lintang studi dengan jumlah subjek 68 orang yang diambil dibagian poli rawat inap. Subjek penelitian pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 yang di rawat inap di RS Al Ihsan usia >18th. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 memiliki yang kadar gula darah postprandial (<200) adalah 4 responden, 64 responden memiliki kadar gula darah postprandial (>200). Simpulan terdapat hubungan antara glukosa darah 2 jam postprandial pada pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 dengan kejadian penyakit arteri koroner di Rumah Sakit Al Ihsan pada tahun 2016-2017 dengan p-value 0,04.
