Abstract. This researh aims to determine the effect of  Performance Appraisal and Employee Competency  on Job Promotion at PT. Taspen (Persero) KCU Bandung. Promotion is still done on the basis of seniority, and in certain positions. Employees also feel less satisfied with the results of the assessment of work performance that is less objective. The population in this study were all employees of PT. Taspen (Persero) KCU Bandung. The analytical method used is descriptive and verification analysis with a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that: (1) Job Performance Evaluation had a positive and significant effect on job promotions of 0.596 = 59.6%; (2) employee competence has a positive and significant effect on job promotions with, amounting to 0.350 = 35%; (3) Assessment of Work Achievement and Employee Competence has a significant positive effect on Job Promotion with the result R² = 0.726 or 72.6% while the remaining 27.4% is influenced by other variables.Keywords:  Performance Appraisal, Employee Competence, Job PromotionAbstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Penilaian Prestasi Kerja dan Kompetensi Karyawan Terhadap Promosi Jabatan pada PT. Taspen (Persero) KCU Bandung. Promosi yang dilakukan masih atas dasar senioritas, dan pada jabatan tertentu saja. Karyawan juga merasa kurang puas atas hasil penilaian prestasi kerja yang kurang objektif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT. Taspen (Persero) KCU Bandung. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) Penilaian Prestasi Kerja berpengaruh Positif dan signifikan terhadap promosi jabatan sebesar 0,596 = 59,6%; (2) kompetensi karyawan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap promosi jabatan dengan,  sebesar 0,350 = 35%; (3) Penilaian Prestasi Kerja dan Kompetensi Karyawan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Promosi Jabatan dengan hasil R² = 0,726 atau 72,6% sedangka sisanya 27,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar variabel yang diteliti.Kata kunci: Penilaian Prestasi Kerja, Kompetensi, Promosi jabatan
