Abstract. The purpose of the research is minimizing load and distance of production system by using the Load Distance method and Material Handling Cost to minimize costs in the CV Dhifday which is one of company of convection in Bandung. The results of the calculation of the number of load distances in the company is very high at 352 m.kg. This causes the movement of materials used in the production process to move slower so that the production flow becomes more inhibited. Using the Load Distance method, in an alternative layout the total load distance moved is 248 m.kg. This causes a considerable reduction in load distance, so the result became efficient about 30%. Meanwhile, to minimize production costs by calculating using Material Handling Cost where the costs incurred by CV Dhifday is Rp. 2,125,000 per day. The effectiveness of the production process increased Rp. 3.187.500 per day, the effectiveness that occurs has increased by 50% using alternative layout.Keywords: Layout, Load Distance, Material Handling CostAbstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penyusunan tata letak serta untuk mengetahui bagaimana penyusunan tata letak yang efisien untuk meminimumkan jarak beban pada salah satu perusahaan konveksi yang ada di kota Bandung yaitu CV Dhifday. Hasil dari perhitungan jumlah jarak beban yang ada pada perusahaan tinggi yaitu sebesar 352 m.kg. Hal ini menyebabkan perpindahan bahan-bahan yang digunakan dalam proses produksi bergerak lebih lambat yang menyebabkan arus produksi menjadi lebih terhambat. Dengan menggunakan metode Load Distance, pada tata letak alternatif jumlah jarak beban yang dipindahkan adalah sebesar 248 m.kg. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya pengurangan jarak beban yang cukup besar, sehingga hasilnya menjadi efisien sekitar 30%. Sementara itu, untuk meminimumkan biaya produksi yaitu dengan menggunakan Material Handling Cost dimana biaya yang dikeluarkan CV Dhifday yaitu sebesar Rp. 2.125.000 perharinya. Didapat peningkatan efektivitas proses produksi sebesar Rp. 3.187.500 perharinya, maka efektivitas yang terjadi mengalami peningkatan sebesar 50% pada tata letak alternatif.
