Abstract. Stunting is a condition where height per age is below -2 or -3 standard deviation based on the World Health Organization Child Growth Standard which is calculated using a Z-score. The prevalence of stunting in West Java in 2016 was 25.1%. Stunting can be prevented, one of them is by exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breast milk contains micronutrients and growth hormones such as vitamin D, zinc, iron, protein and insulin growth factor-1, which has a role in children linear growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between stunting with the history of non-exclusive breastfeeding in Desa Penyirapan Kecamatan Soreang Kabupaten Bandung. The method used in this study is case control approach with 74 toddlers as respondents. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data were then analyzed using the chi square statistical test. From 74 respondents, 51% of them are female and 53% of them are toddlers aged 4 years old. The results obtained by stunting respondents who had not have exclusive breastfeeding were 14% and respondents who had exclusive breastfeeding 86%. The results of this study is that there is no correlation between stunting with the history of non-exclusive breastfeeding with p value of 0.74. Conclusion there is no correlation between Stunting with the history of non-exclusive breastfeeding which can be caused by other risk factors that is not studied here that can affect stunting.Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, Stunting, ToddlerAbstrak. Stunting merupakan kondisi tinggi badan terhadap usia berada dibawah -2 atau -3 stantar deviasi berdasarkan World Health Organization Child Growth Standar yang dihitung menggunakan Z-score. Prevalensi stunting di Jawa Barat pada tahun 2016 sebanyak 25,1%. Stunting dapat dicegah salah satunya dengan pemberian ASI ekslusif. ASI ekslusif mengandung mikronutrien dan hormon pertumbuhan seperti vitamin D, zink, zat besi,protein dan insuline grwoth factor-1, yang berperan dalam pertumbuhan linear anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk menganalisis hubungan stunting dengan riwayat pemberian ASI non ekslusif di Desa Panyirapan Kecamatan Soreang Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan case control dengan jumlah responden 74 balita. Pengambilan Data menggunakan kuesioner. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik chi square. Dari 74 responden didapatkan 51% berjenis kelamin perempuan dan 53% dengan usia terbanyak pada balita usia 4 tahun. Hasil penelitian didapatkan responden stunting yang tidak mendapatkan ASI ekslusif adalah sebesar 14% dan responden yang mendapatkan ASI eklusif sebesar 86%. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan antara stunting dengan riwayat pemberia ASI non ekslusif dengan (p=0,74). Simpulan tidak terdapat hubungan antara Stunting dengan riwayat pemberian ASI non ekslusif yang hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh faktor risiko lain yang dapat mempengaruhi stunting dan tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini.Kata Kunci : Asi ekslusif, Balita, stunting |
