Abstract. Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei. Scabies is one of the most common disease that often suffered of pesantren occupants. Knowledge and personal hygiene behavior play an important role in incidence of scabies. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and personal hygiene behavior of students with the incidence of scabies at Pondok Pesantren Baitul Hidayah Region Bandung. This study used an analytical observational method with a cross sectional approach, the subjects consisted of 50 respondents. The data were collected by using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results of this study found that scabies at Baitul Hidayah Bandung Region there are 21 students (42,00%) experiencing scabies. The level of knowledge of students is good (88,00%), and good personal hygiene behavior (62,00%). Based on the results of statistical tests with the Chi-Square test showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of knowledge of students with the incidence of scabies (p= 0,196), and there was a significant relationship between personal hygiene behavior of students with the incidence of scabies (p= 0,022). For the conclusion, there is no relationship between level of knowledge with the incidence of scabies and there is a relationship between personal hygiene behavior with the incidence of scabies at Baitul Hidayah Hidayah Bandung Region. Skabies merupakan salah satu penyakit yang sering diderita penghuni pesantren. Pengetahuan dan perilaku personal hygiene sangat berperan penting terhadap kejadian skabies. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku personal hygiene santri terhadap kejadian skabies di Pondok Pesantren Baitul Hidayah Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional, subjek penelitian terdiri dari 50 responden santri. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi – Square. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa kejadian skabies di Pondok Pesantren Baitul Hidayah Kabupaten Bandung terdapat 21 santri (42,00%) mengalami skabies. Tingkat pengetahuan santri baik (88,0%), dan perilaku personal hygiene baik (62,0%). Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik dengan uji Chi – Square menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan santri dengan kejadianskabies (p=0,196), dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku personal hygiene santri dengan kejadian skabies (p=0,022). Simpulan, tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kejadian skabies dan terdapat hubungan antara perilaku personal hygiene dengan kejadian skabies di Pondok Pesantren Baitul Hidayah Kabupaten Bandung.Kata Kunci: Perilaku Personal Hygiene, Skabies, Tingkat Pengetahuan |
