Abstract. PT. X is a private company engaged in animal health and produces poultry vaccines. In this company there is a quality control department that works in a laboratory section. Employees of this section often exhibit undisciplined behavior, which is late arriving at the office, not maintaining cleanliness at work, often asking permission to be absent from the workplace and the results of the work assessment in 2018 decreased. Employees complained that salaries were still below the standards of pharmaceutical companies, employees often did not receive overtime incentives, and the promotion of unfair. Employees feel proud of their work, feel their work challenging. The purpose of this study is to see whether there is a relationship between job satisfaction (two factor theory) with work discipline in employees of quality control. The measuring instrument used was a measuring instrument compiled by researchers based on two factor theory from Herzberg and work discipline theory from Lateiner. The research method used was the analysis of Contingency Coefficient C. The results showed that there was a relationship between satisfaction (motivator factor) and job dissatisfaction (hygiene factor) with work discipline with a C value of 0.665.Keywords: Job Satisfaction (Two factor Theory), Work disciplineAbstrak. PT. X adalah perusahaan swasta yang bergerak dibidang kesehatan hewan dan memproduksi vaksin unggas. Didalam perusahaan ini terdapat bagian quality control yang bekerja di bagian laboratorium yang berjumlah 10 orang. Karyawan bagian ini sering menunjukkan perilaku tidak disiplin, yaitu terlambat tiba dikantor, tidak menjaga kebersihan pada saat bekerja, sering meminta izin untuk tidak hadir ditempat kerja serta hasil penilaian kerja ditahun 2018 menurun. Karyawan mengeluhkan gaji yang masih dibawah standar perusahaan farmasi, karyawan sering tidak menerima insentif lembur, dan pelaksanaan promosi tidak adil dan pemberian feedback dirasa tidak konsisten. Tetapi disisi lain, karyawan merasa pekerjaannya menantang, relasi dengan rekan kerja baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat adakah hubungan antara kepuasan kerja (two factor theory) dengan disiplin kerja pada karyawan bagian quality control. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan two factor theory dari Herzberg dan teori disiplin kerja dari Lateiner. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis Koefisien Kontingensi C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kepuasan (motivator factor) dan ketidakpuasan kerja (hygiene factor) dengan disiplin kerja dengan nilai C sebesar 0,665.Kata Kunci : Kepuasan Kerja (Two factor Theory), Disiplin kerja |
