Abstract. There have been many preschool children using smartphones, even though at that age children are not yet fit to use smartphones. Based on research, excessive smartphone use can lead to smartphone addiction in children. Some experts say that children with smartphone addiction can lead to aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of smartphone addiction and aggressive behavior in preschool children. The method used in this research is quantitative causality. The sample in this study used a population study with 52 students as subjects. Data collection was carried out using observation sheets with parents as observers. The smartphone addiction observation sheet refers to the Smartphone Addiction Scale Short Version (SAS-SV) from Kwon, et al., and the aggressive behavior observation sheet refers to the Aggression Questionnaire from Buss and Perry. The results show that there is a significant effect of smartphone addiction on aggressive behavior in preschool children in PAUD Kampung X with the result of R Square 0.47 (47%), a high rate of smartphone addiction as much as 71.2%, and a high rate of aggressive behavior as much as 50%.Keywords: Preschool Children, Smartphone Addiction, Aggressive BehaviorAbstrak. Sudah banyak anak prasekolah yang menggunakan smartphone, padahal pada usia tersebut anak belum layak untuk menggunakan smartphone. Berdasarkan riset, penggunaan smartphone yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan kecanduan smartphone pada anak. Beberapa ahli mengatakan bahwa anak dengan kecanduan smartphone dapat berakibat pada munculnya perilaku agresif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh kecanduan smartphone dan perilaku agresif pada anak prasekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif kausalitas. Sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan studi populasi dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 52 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dengan orangtua sebagai observer. Lembar observasi kecanduan smartphone yang mengacu pada Smartphone Addiction Scale Short Version (SAS-SV) dari Kwon, dkk., dan lembar observasi perilaku agresif yang mengacu pada Aggression Questionnaire dari Buss dan Perry. Hasil menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kecanduan smartphone terhadap perilaku agresif pada anak prasekolah di PAUD Kampung X dengan hasil R Square 0.47 (47%), tingkat kecanduan smartphone yang tinggi sebanyak 71,2%, dan tingkat perilaku agresif yang tinggi sebanyak 50%.Kata Kunci: Anak Prasekolah, Kecanduan Smartphone, Perilaku Agresif |
