Abstract. Vocational High School (SMK) is one of the school institutions that prepares students to become skilled and productive workers in the world of work and is also able to create jobs. However, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, one of the biggest contributors to the Open Unemployment Rate in West Java based on education level graduates comes from vocational students. The unemployment rate that occurs is caused by the low career maturity of students. Emotional maturity is one of the causes for the low career maturity of vocational students. This type of research is a causality research with a quantitative approach. The measuring instruments used are the Emotional Maturity Scale from Ananda (2017) and the Career Maturity Scale constructed by Dewi Sartika (2003) referring to the Super theory concept. The research subjects were students of SMKN class XII in Bandung, totaling 395 respondents. Data analysis using Simple Regression Test technique. The results obtained show the coefficient of determination of 0.446. Thus, the emotional maturity variable has an effect of 44.6% on the career maturity variable. In addition, the results obtained from the value of tcount > ttable it is 3.311> 0.05 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant influence between emotional maturity on career maturity.Keywords: Career Maturity, Emotional Maturity, Vocational School StudentsAbstrak. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan salah satu institusi sekolah yang mempersiapkan siswanya menjadi tenaga kerja yang terampil dan produktif di dunia kerja dan juga mampu untuk menciptakan lapangan kerja. Namun, berdasarkan data di Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) salah satu penyumbang terbesar Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT) di Jawa Barat berdasarkan tamatan tingkat Pendidikan berasal dari siswa SMK. Angka pengangguran yang terjadi disebabkan oleh rendahnya kematangan karier yang dimiliki siswa. Kematangan emosi merupakan salah satu penyebab rendahnya kematangan karier yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMK. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kausalitas dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Skala Kematangan Emosi dari Ananda (2017) dan Skala Kematangan Karier yang dikonstruksi oleh Dewi Sartika (2003) mengacu pada konsep teori Super. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMKN kelas XII di Bandung yang berjumlah 395 responden. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Uji Regresi Sederhana. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,446. Sehingga, variabel kematangan emosi berpengaruh sebesar 44,6% terhadap variabel kematangan karier. Selain itu, didapatkan hasil nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 3.311 > 0,05 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kematangan emosi terhadap kematangan karier.Kata Kunci: Kematangan Emosi, Kematangan Karier, Siswa SMK |
