Abstract. In Indonesia, there is a dual-career family phenomenon, where both the father and mother are work. It causes parenting tasks to clash with their busy activities. Consequently, there is no other option except delegate a temporary parenting duty to the second party, one of which is TPA (Laily, 2016). Nevertheless, the role of father continues to have an important role that is responsible for equipling a child to be a good individual. This role will function in an intense interaction pattern in daily life, called the parenting style as presented by Baumrind. The purpose of this study is to get a picture of the fathers’ parenting style from children at TPA in Bandung. The research method used is descriptive, with a sampling technique that is accidental sampling by the number of respondents as much as 65 fathers. Data collection is done through a questionnare of normative measuring instruments from Clyde, Barbara, Susanne, & Craig (1995). The results of the study obtained a description of the type fathers’ parenting style from children at TPA in Bandung, the type of foster pattern authoritative (56.4%).Keywords: Parenting Style, Children, Daycare.Abstrak. Di Indonesia mulai ditemukan fenomena dual-career family, dimana ayah dan ibu sama-sama bekerja di luar rumah. Hal tersebut menyebabkan tugas pengasuhan anak menjadi berbenturan dengan kesibukan mereka. Akibatnya, tak ada pilihan lain kecuali melimpahkan tugas pengasuhan sementara kepada pihak kedua, salah satunya TPA (Laily, 2016). Walaupun demikian, peran ayah tetap memiliki peran yang penting yang bertanggung jawab untuk membekali seorang anak menjadi individu yang baik. Peran ini akan berfungsi dalam pola interaksi yang intens dalam keseharian, yang disebut pola asuh seperti yang dikemukakan oleh Baumrind. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai pola asuh ayah dari anak di tempat penitipan anak (TPA) di kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, dengan teknik sampling yakni accidental sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 65 ayah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuisoner alat ukur baku dari Clyde, Barbara, Susanne, & Craig (1995). Hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran tipe pola asuh ayah dari anak di TPA kota Bandung, yakni tipe pola asuh authoritative (56,4%). Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh, Anak, Tempat Penitipan Anak. |
