Abstract. Thomas Lickona (2012) in his book that the role of a teacher in the scope of school is very necessary in character education. A teacher must be able to become a mentor, model, and caregiver who is able to reflect a good moral behavior to his students, be able to instill moral values in every lesson given in the classroom and be able to create a school environment that has a positive moral culture. The purpose of this study was to obtain data regarding the description of how the implementation of character education in the elementary schools of LPPN Bandung. The method used is quantitative descriptive method with a total subject of 118 respondents consisting of 108 students aged 10-12 years and 10 teachers. Data collection was carried out using the SCCP-II measuring instrument developed by Lickona and Davidson (2001) and the Respect & Responsibility School Culture Survey compiled by Davidson, Lickona, & Khmelkov (2004). The results of this study indicate the aspects. The results showed that the student respect aspect of the subject was in the medium category, the aspect of student friendship belonging was in the high category, the aspect of student shaping environment was in the medium category, the aspect of support care by faculty in this aspect the adult subject was in the medium category, the aspect of support care by medium category parents, School as Community Cares and shows the value of moderate respect and high responsibility aspects. and aspects of bullying at a moderate level still have to be developed.Keywords: Character Education, Elementary School, ImplementationAbstrak. Thomas Lickona (2012) dalam bukunya bahwa peran seorang guru di ruang lingkup sekolah sangat diperlukan dalam pendidikan karakter ini. Seorang guru harus mampu menjadi sebagai seorang mentor, model, dan pengasuh yang mampu mencerminkan sebuah perilaku moral yang baik kepada siswanya, mampu menanamkam nilai-nilai moral di dalam setiap pembelajaran yang diberikan di dalam kelas serta mampu menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang memiliki budaya moral yang positif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data mengenai gambaran bagaimana implementasi Pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar LPPN bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 118 responden terdiri dari 108 siswa rentang umur 10-12 tahun dan 10 guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat ukur SCCP-II dikembangkan oleh Lickona dan Davidson (2001) dan Respect & Responsibility School Culture Survey yang disusun oleh Davidson, Lickona, & Khmelkov (2004). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pada aspek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek student respect subjek berada pada kategori sedang, Aspek student friendship belonging berada pada kategori tinggi, Aspek student shaping environment berada pada kategori sedang, Aspek support care by faculty pada aspek ini subjek dewasa berada pada kategori sedang, Aspek support care by parents kategori sedang, Sekolah Sebagai Komunitas Peduli dan menunjukkan nilai penghormatan sedang dan aspek tanggung jawab tinggi. dan aspek bullying pada taraf sedang masih harus dikembangkan.Kata kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Sekolah Dasar, Implementasi |
