dc.description Abstract. Dunaliella salina is one type of microalgae that can be used as a source of antibacterial raw materials against Staphylococcus aureus. The study was conducted through two stages including the stages of microalgae culture Dunaliella salina conducted before the pandemic period and the literature study stage. The stages of culture include preparation of the media, cultivation of microalgae Dunaliella Salina, monitoring of microalgae growth, harvesting of microalgae and stages of study literature by gathering information through a database. Results culture Dunaliella salina media sea water enriched with fertilizer F/2 Guillard is able to grow well at a temperature of 24°C. From the results of several studies extract of microalgae Dunaliella salina potential as an antibacterial to Staphylococcus aureus, evidenced by the formation of inhibition zone and their compounds which plays an active role for antibacterial namely fatty acid groups such as linoleic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid and flavonoids. The variety of metabolite content in Dunaliella salina and its activity against various bacteria makes Dunaliella salina very prospective to be used as a source ofantibacterial raw material Staphylococcus aureus. Keywords : Dunaliella salina, culture, Antibacterial Abstrak.
