Abstract. The F test is a method that is generally used to test the equality of two population variances, but this method is very sensitive to the assumption of normality that results in the F test performing poorly for abnormal data. Some alternative F tests that do not assume normal but are only often discussed in nonparametric statistics, besides that generally require a critical value table or software to calculate the p-value. To overcome the poor performance of the F test on data that are not normally distributed and other alternative F tests that require software to calculate p-values, this paper will discuss the Count Five method as proposed by McGrath and Yeh (2005). Testing the similarity of the two dispersions will be implemented on data on the number of streptococcus sp. colonies pediatric patients with low and moderate-severe allergic rhinitis. From the test results it can be concluded that there is no dispersion effect in the population data on the number of streptococcus sp. bacterial colonies. pediatric patients with low and moderate-severe allergic rhinitis, so that the equality of the two variances is fulfilled.Keywords: Dispertion, Variance, F Test, Count Five Method, Patients with Low and Moderate-Severe Allergic Rhinitis.Abstrak. Uji F merupakan metode yang umumnya digunakan untuk menguji kesetaraan dua varians populasi, akan tetapi metode ini sangat sensitif terhadap asumsi normalitas sehingga mengakibatkan uji F berkinerja buruk untuk data yang tidak normal. Beberapa Alternatif uji F yang tidak berasumsi normal tetapi hanya sering dibahas dalam statistik nonparametrik, selain itu umumnya memerlukan tabel nilai kritis atau perangkat lunak untuk menghitung p-value. Untuk mengatasi kinerja buruk uji F pada data yang tidak berdistribusi normal dan alternatif uji F lain yang memerlukan perangkat lunak untuk menghitung p-value, maka dalam makalah ini akan dibahas metode Count Five seperti yang diusulkan oleh McGrath dan Yeh (2005). Pengujian kesamaan dua dispersi ini akan diimplementasikan pada data jumlah koloni bakteri streptococcus sp. pasien anak-anak penderita Rhinitis alergi rendah dan sedang-berat. Dari hasil pengujiannya dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada efek dispersi pada populasi data jumlah koloni bakteri streptococcus sp. pasien anak-anak penderita Rhinitis alergi rendah dan sedang-berat, sehingga kesetaraan dua varians terpenuhi.Kata Kunci: Dispersi, Varians, Uji F, Metode Count Five, Penderita Rhinitis Alergi Ringan dan Sedang-Berat.
