Abstract. PT. XYZ is a manufacturing industry in Indonesia, one of the products of which is an excavator. In achieving the production target for Side CB components, the production target is not achieved due to the accumulation and one of the work stations identified as a bottleneck, this will have an impact on the number of final products. Based on this phenomenon, the problem formulations in this study are: (1) What are the constraints that affect the overall excavator product at PT XYZ? (2) What is the improvement plan that can be implemented to deal with problems and can increase the excavator product throughput at PT XYZ? In general, this problem will be solved using the Theory of Constraint method. In this study, several alternative improvement plans were given to deal with problems. The results of this study are: (1) Constraints that affect the entire production process, namely capacity constraints. (2) The achievement of the component production process may increase depending on the alternatives applied. (3) The number of final products can increase depending on the alternatives applied. (4) Stacking can be significantly reduced in implementing alternative 4. (5) Division throughput can be increased by 72% - 156%.Keywords: Bottleneck, Theory of Constraint, ThroughputAbstrak. PT. XYZ merupakan industri manufaktur di Indonesia, salah satu hasil produksinya adalah ekskavator. Dalam pencapaian target produksi komponen Side CB, target produksi tersebut tidak tercapai yang disebabkan oleh terjadinya penumpukan dan salah satu stasiun kerja teridentifikasi sebagai bottleneck, hal ini akan memberikan dampak terhadap jumlah produk akhir. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, maka rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Apa faktor kendala yang mempengaruhi secara keseluruhan produk ekskavator di PT XYZ? (2) Bagaimana rencana perbaikan yang dapat diterapkan untuk menghadapi permasalahan dan dapat meningkatkan throughput produk ekskavator di PT XYZ?. Permasalahan ini secara umum akan diselesaikan menggunakan metode Theory of Constraint. Dalam penelitian ini, diberikan beberapa alternatif rencana perbaikan untuk menghadapi permasalahan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Constraint yang mempengaruhi keseluruhan proses produksi yaitu capacity constraint. (2) Pencapaian proses produksi komponen dapat meningkat tergantung alternatif yang diterapkan. (3) Jumlah produk akhir dapat meningkat tergantung alternatif yang diterapkan. (4) Penumpukan dapat berkurang secara signifikan pada penerapan alternatif 4. (5) Throughput Divisi dapat meningkat sebesar 72% - 156%.Kata Kunci: Bottleneck, Theory of Constraint, Throughput.
