Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of student perceptions regarding the public accounting law, public accounting professional ethics, and the risk of the public accounting profession on the interest in a career in becoming a public accountant. The method used in this study uses quantitative methods with hypothesis testing using multiple linear analysis methods. The data used in this study are primary data collected by distributing questionnaires online to student respondents at private universities in Bandung. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Respondents in this study amounted to 359 students from private universities in the city of Bandung. The results indicate that the public accounting law, public accounting professional ethics, and the risk of the public accounting profession have a significant positive effect on the career interests of accounting students to become public accountants. Suggestions for future research can use different variables such as financial rewards, work environment and also increase the reach of the research population.Keywords: Career Interest, Law on Public Accountants, Public Accountant Professional Ethics, Public Accountant Professional RiskAbstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh persepsi mahasiswa mengenai undang-undang akuntan publik, etika profesi akuntan publik, dan risiko profesi akuntan publik terhadap minat berkarier menjadi akuntan publik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pengujian hipotesis yang dilakukan menggunakan meode analisis linear berganda. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang dikumpulkan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner secara online kepada responden mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi swasta kota Bandung. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 359 mahasiswa dari perguruan tinggi swasta di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa undang-undang akuntan publik, etika profesi akuntan publik, dan risiko profesi akuntan publik berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minat berkarier mahasiswa akuntansi untuk menjadi akuntan publik. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat menggunakan variabel yang berbeda seperti penghargaan finansial, lingkungan kerja dan juga menambah jangkauan populasi penelitian.Kata kunci: Etika Profesi Akuntan Publik, Minat Berkarier, Risiko Profesi Akuntan Publik, Undang – Undang Akuntan Publik |
