Abstract. Low back pain (LBP) is pain or discomfort in the area between costal margin of the ribs and the inferior of gluteal folding. One of the factors that cause LBP is working in the long sitting position. The employees that have this typical working pattern is civil servants (PNS). The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of low back pain in employees at the BP4D office of West Bandung Regency in 2020. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, with a cross-sectional method using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and the Modified Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire. Data obtained from sixty respondents. The results showed that the majority of respondents fit into the category of painless (58%), mild (30%), and moderate (12%) according to NRS. The results of the examination using the Modified Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire showed that respondents had a mild disability (88%) and moderate disability (12%). This condition happened because the long sitting position can give a pressure into the spine so that it will stimulate pain. The reduced risk of LBP is due to the OSHA-compliant sitting position was adopted by the workers. Conclusion, most of BP4D employees do not experience LBP. Employees who experience LBP have mild and moderate disabilities category.Keywords: Employee, Low Back Pain, Modified Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Index, Numeric Rating Scale (NRS).Abstrak. Low back pain (LBP) merupakan nyeri atau ketidaknyamanan pada bagian di antara tulang kosta dan lipatan bokong. Salah satu faktor penyebab LBP adalah posisi duduk dalam waktu lama pada saat bekerja. Salah satu jenis pekerjaan dengan pola pekerjaan tersebut adalah pegawai kantoran seperti pegawai negeri sipil (PNS). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran derajat low back pain pada pegawai di kantor BP4D Kabupaten Bandung Barat tahun 2020. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan metode potong lintang yang menggunakan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) dan Modified Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Index. Data didapatkan dari enam puluh responden. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar responden termasuk ke dalam kategori tidak nyeri (58%), ringan (30%), dan sedang (12%) menurut NRS. Hasil pemeriksaan mengunakan Modified Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Index menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden mengalami disabilitas ringan (88%) dan sedang (12%). Hal ini disebabkan karena posisi duduk yang lama dapat memicu tekanan pada tulang belakang sehingga akan menstimulasi nyeri. Namun demikian, sebagian besar pegawai telah menerapkan posisi duduk sesuai dengan OSHA sehingga mengurangi resiko terjadinya LBP. Kesimpulan, sebagian besar pegawai BP4D tidak mengalami LBP. Pegawai yang mengalami LBP mengalami disabilitas yang ringan dan sedang.Kata Kunci: Low Back Pain, Modified Oswestry Low Back pain Disability Index, Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). |
