Abstract. Health problems in society are strongly influenced by genetic, environment and behavioral factors. Hypertension is a condition in which blood vessel pressure increases continuously. Hypertension is classified into prehypertension, hypertension grade 1 and hypertension grade 2. Calculation of Body Mass Index (BMI) is a method to determine the nutritional status of adults. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between BMI and the degree of hypertension in elderly outpatient hypertension patients at Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital Bandung regency in 2019. The method used was observational analytical with a cross sectional approach. The data obtained was secondary data taken from medical records using a total sampling technique. A total of 60 samples consisting of four categories with BMI values and degrees of hypertension. Off two patients (3%) of the underweight sample, one patient experienced prehypertension and one patient with hypertension grade 1. Off 17 (28%) normal sample, 11 paients experienced prehypertension, five patients with hypertension grade 1 and one patient wih hypertension grade 2. Off 13 (22%) overweight sample. One patient experienced prehypertension, 10 patients with hypertension grade 1 and two patients with hypertension grade 2. Off (47%) obesity sample, three patients experienced prehypertension, 14 patients with hypertension grade 1 and 11 patients with hypertension grade 2. There was a relationship between BMI and the degree of hypertension in elderly hypertension patients at Cardiac Clinic Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital Bandung Regency in 2019. It can be concluded that one of the factors that influence the degree of hypertension is nutritional status.Keywords: Hypertension, BMI.Abstrak. Masalah kesehatan di masyarakat sangat di pengaruhi oleh faktor genetik, lingkungan, dan perilaku. Hipertensi adalah kondisi dimana tekanan pembuluh darah meningkat secara terus menerus. Hipertensi di klasifikasikan menjadi prehipertensi, hipertensi derajat 1 dan hipertensi derajat 2. Perhitungan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) adalah metode untuk mengetahui status gizi pada orang dewasa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara IMT terhadap derajat hipertensi pada pasien hipertensi rawat jalan lansia di RSUD Al-Ihsan Kabupaten Bandung tahun 2019. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Data yang didapat merupakan data sekunder yang di ambil dari rekam medis menggunakan teknik total sampling. Sebanyak 60 sampel terdiri atas empat kategori dengan nilai IMT dan derajat hipertensi. Dari dua (3%) sampel underweight, satu pasien mengalami prehipertensi dan satu pasien hipertensi derajat 1. Dari 17 pasien (28%) sampel normal, 11 pasien mengalami prehipertensi, lima pasien hipertensi derajat 1 dan dua pasien hipertensi derajat 2. Dari 13 pasien (22%) sampel overweight, satu pasien mengalami prehipertensi, 10 pasien hipertensi derajat 1 dan dua pasien hipertensi derajat 2. Dari 28 orang (47%) sampel obesitas, tiga pasien mengalami prehipertensi, 14 pasien hipertensi derajat 1 dan 11 pasien hipertensi derajat 2. Terdapat hubungan antara IMT terhadap grade hipertensi pada pasien hipertensi rawat jalan lansia di poliklinik jantung RSUD Al-Ihsan Kabupaten Bandung tahun 2019. Dapat di simpulkan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi gradehipertensi adalah status gizi.Kata kunci: Hipertensi, IMT. |
