dc.description Control diagram is a tool used to find out something that out of line in industry process. There are two kinds of control diagrams they are control diagram of variable and control diagram of attribute. There are two kinds of control diagrams in variable control diagram; process minimum and process variability.there is a minimum control diagram in  Control diagram of process minimum, and process variability that is commonly used is control diagram of distance (D) and control diagram of standard deviation (SD). Control diagram of standard deviation (SD) is a technique of quality control process developed to control process variability based on the assumption of normal distribution, or the outlier. When the normality assumption is insatiable or there is an isolation, the certain method will be used. The method is called Median Absolute Deviation (MAD). There are some stages to determine MAD to obtain controlled process. To compare control diagram of MAD, it is necessary to do comparation on control diagram of MAD and control diagram of standard deviation. So that the control limit result on minimum control diagram based on MAD is wider than minimum control diagram of standard deviation.
dc.description Diagram kendali adalah salah satu alat yang digunakan untuk menemukan kelakuan yang menyimpang dalam proses industri. Ada dua jenis diagram kendali diantaranya yaitu diagram kendali variabel dan diagram kendali atribut . Pada diagram kendali variabel terdapat dua jenis diagram kendali, yaitu rata-rata proses dan variabilitas proses. Diagram kendali rata-rata proses salah satunya yaitu diagram kendali rata-rata , sedangkan pada variabilitas proses yang paling umum digunakan yaitu diagram kendali rentang (R) dan diagram kendali simpangan baku (S). Diagram kendali S merupakan salah satu teknik proses pegendalian kualitas yang dikembangkan untuk mengontrol variabilitas proses berdasarkan asumsi dibawah distribusi normal atau ada outlier. Ketika asumsi normalitas tidak terpenuhi atau adanya pencilan, maka akan digunakan suatu metode tertentu. Metode tersebut dinamakan Median Absolute Deviation (MAD). Dalam menentukan MAD dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, hingga diperoleh proses dalam keadaan terkendali. Untuk membandingkan diagram kendali MAD, selanjutnya dilakukan perbandingan pada diagram kendali MAD dan diagram kendali S. Sehingga diperoleh hasil lebar batas kendali pada diagram kendali rata-rata berdasarkan MAD sedikit lebih lebar dibandingkan diagram kendali rata-rata berdasarkan S.
