The infiltration of hydrothermal solutions through structures that form veinlets with different alteration levels and variations in physical strength, will influence the consumption of grinding energy during processing operations. This research uses a gold ore vein sample from the Kutawaringin area, Bandung Regency. The sample, in the field, is visibly analyzed, was tested in petrography and mineragraphy in the laboratory, so that it was known to be moderate and low alterated. Furthermore, Bond Ball Mill&#13;
are tested to determine its energy consumption. From the grinding test, the low alteration vein energy consumption is relatively the same whether coarsely or finely, while the alteration medium is lower. Medium and low alteration energy consumption, coarse and fine fractions are relatively constant, meaning that the optimum point has been reached. Low and moderate alteration energy consumption, the difference is quite significant due to different mineral composition and alteration. So that the impact on the selection of the type of grinding equipment, if the alteration is far more than the low alteration, more feasible choices based on the most vein, so it is more energy efficient. Penerobosan larutan hydrothermal melalui struktur yang membentuk veinlets dengan tingkat alterasi yang berbeda serta keragaman kekuatan fisik, akan mempengaruhi konsumsi energi penggilingan saat operasi pengolahannya.&#13;
Penelitian ini, menggunakan sample vein bijih emas dari daerah Kutawaringin, Kabupaten Bandung. Sample tersebut, di lapangan dianalisis megaskopis, di laboratorium diuji petrografi dan mineragrafi, sehingga diketahui teralterasi sedang dan rendah. Selanjutnya diuji giling Bond Ball Mill untuk penentuan konsumsi energinya.&#13;
Dari uji giling, vein alterasi rendah konsumsi energinya relatif sama baik digiling kasar ataupun halus, sedangkan alterasi sedang lebih rendah. Konsumsi energi alterasi sedang dan rendah, fraksi kasar dan halus relatif konstan, artinya titik optimum telah dicapai. Konsumsi energi alterasi rendah dan sedang, perbedaannya cukup signifikan disebabkan komposisi mineral dan alterasi yang berbeda. Sehingga berdampak terhadap pemilihan tipe alat giling, bila alterasi sedang jauh lebih banyak dibandingkan alterasi rendah, lebih layak pilihan berdasarkan vein terbanyak, sehingga lebih hemat energinya. Walaupun berakibat menurunnya produksi giling per satuan waktu untuk jenis alterasi rendah.

Indonesia is located on the copper-gold belt, making it one of the top 10 largest gold-producing countries in the world. This is due to the formation of magmatic pathways caused by the convection currents of magma, which push tectonic plates to create upthrust fault zones. Upthrust faults serve as weak zones through which hydrothermal fluids penetrate to reach the Earth's surface. This process forms alteration zones, where chemical reactions occur between hydrothermal solutions and surrounding rocks, resulting in the formation of mineralization pathways. Tujuh Bukit, as one of the largest gold deposits in Indonesia, was formed from medium to high-grade porphyry and epithermal sulfide ores.&#13;
This research aims to determine alteration zones based on the Corbet and Leach method in samples from the Tujuh Bukit area. The research methodology involves the collection of both secondary and primary data. Secondary data includes research findings by Harrison in 2018, geological maps, and rainfall data in the research area. Primary data includes analyses using X-Ray Diffraction (X-RD) and Mineralogical Analysis on samples tested at the PSDMBP Laboratory. The research findings indicate that the difference in&#13;
alteration zones influences the formation of gold ore, specifically the advanced argilic and argilic alteration zones. During the formation phase, the advanced argilic alteration zone exhibits higher temperatures and lower pH levels compared to the argilic zone. There are three samples that fall into the advanced argilic zone, as indicated by the presence of alunite resulting from the breakdown of silicates by sulfuric acid.&#13;
The quartz content also affects the pH and temperature during the alteration process. Meanwhile, one sample falls into the argilic alteration zone.
