Coal reserves in Indonesia are of low quality (lignite) with calories &lt;5100 cal/gr which are included in reserves with a percentage value of 60%. The policies set by the government are Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining, then on Increased Value Added (PNT) contained in PP No. 23/2010. This policy is realized by processing and refining fine minerals in the country. The existence of PNT can also be done by making new and renewable energy by means of pyrolysis. Pyrolysis is a process of thermochemical decomposition of organic matter through heating without or a little oxygen, where the material will undergo a breakdown of its chemical structure into gas and liquid phases. Renewable energy by means of pyrolysis is one solution to reduce the effect of greenhouses. This energy, of course, must be included in renewable energy, this energy can be produced from wood plants which have the nature of growing rapidly to act as a fuel energy reserve. The purpose of this study was to determine the pyrolysis results of local wood, namely lamtoro wood (leucaena leucocephala), to the charcoal produced during the pyrolysis process, the calorific value obtained and also the biochar for analysis of these results. The pyrolysis process used a sample of lamtoro wood with a size of -32 + 42 mesh and carried out at 3 temperature variables, namely 300°C, 450°C, and 600°C with a heating rate of 10°C / minute for 60 minutes. From the test results, the optimal temperature in the pyrolysis of lamtoro wood is at a temperature of 450 °C with a yield obtained that is 26.45% and Volatile Matter obtained 73.55%. Then from these results the calorific value obtained is 6694 kcal / kg and energy 177,056 kcal, where the char energy produced is 38.70%. The optimal mixing of coal is done at a ratio of 25% with a value Volatile Matter of 49.10 and the resulting calorific value is 177.056 kcal.

Sustainable development is inseparable from the rock material used, one of which is rock excavation material in the form of andesite. PT Cahaya Baru Madani will design a crushing plant located in Giriasih Village, Batujajar District, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The area of land acquisition that will be carried out is 3,935 m2 and the land that will be used for the crushing plant unit is 2,697 m2.The processing activities of andesite rock excavation at the PT Cahaya Baru Madani crushing plant unit consisted of four stages, namely feeding using a grizzly feeder, primary crushing using a jaw crusher, secondary crushing using a cone crusher and sizing using a vibrating screen. The crushing plant unit is also assisted by supporting tools namely hooper and belt conveyor. The assumed effective time at the crushing plant is 4,5 hours with a job efficiency of 75%. Feeds coming from mining companies are 600 tons/day. The type and condition of the base material cannot be determined because the results of the mining blasting were not carried out directly by PT Cahaya Baru Madani. The final product is divided into 4 types namely split 1 (3+2 cm), split 2 (-2 +1 cm), split 3 (-1+0,5 cm) and stone ash (-0,5 cm) with a total production of 110,11  tons / hour. The machine used in the crushing plant unit are one hopper with a capacity of 58,875 m3, 1 unit of GZD-850 grizzly feeder, 1 unit of 600x900 jaw crusher, 1 unit PYB1200 cone crusher, 1 unit of 3YZS1548, vibrating screen and 7 unit of belt conveyor.

The quality of coal in indonesia often in the form of coal of inferior rank such as lignite (brown coal) which having high water content, low calories, and high self-combustion level. To increasing low rank coal usage, be required to upgrading of that low rank coal quality. Therefore needs to be done the way coal lignite coal can compete with high quality, so lignite coal can have high economic value, and then created a method to increase coal quality for increase calories level and reduce water content, regarding to these condition then were made an coal upgrading with some method. So low rank coal can be used as good as possible as basic raw energy which in developed in Indonesia and one of the method for upgrading coal quality is coal drying and coating with finacoal and enzol. On upgrading process the coal sample have been prepared for 2.88 mm, 5.66 mm, and 8 mm and then the sample have been heated on temperature 1000C, 1500C, dan 2000C after that add finacoal and enzol on coal sample. The addition of solution would serve as coal void protector so the water content which have evaporated can’t be turn back to coal void again. The result from this upgrading proces such as inherent moisture content is going down from 22.37 % to 8.25 % for coated sample, and 7. 74 % for not coated sample. Ass content before process as 4.15 % and after process ass content for coated sample become 4.06 %, then for not coated sample ass content increase become 4.33 %. Vollatile matter content from 40.62 % has reduced after process become 39.26 % for coated sample, and for not coated sample become 40.40 %. Fixed carbon before process as 32.86 % then increased after process become 48.43 % for coated sample, then 47.53 % for not coated sample. Calories value from 4750 cal/gr become 5555.44 cal/gr for coated sample, and 5409 cal/gr for not coated sample. Coal drying process was effective for reduce water content, so calories value was increase. Coating process with finacoal and enzol was good enough for reduce ass content and vollatile matter then increasing calories value.

Permasalahan yang terjadi di pelabuhan PT Bukit Asam adalah kedatangan kapal yang cukup tinggi, dan terjadi antrian kapal dari proses muat, yang selama ini belum maksimal, sehingga masih terjadi keterlambatan dari waktu yang dijadwalkan. Hal-hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan kapal yang telah datang di pelabuhan PT Bukit Asam, harus menunggu untuk berlabuh akibat dari keterlambatan proses muat sebelumnya. Antrian kapal untuk berlabuh ini akan mengakibatkan biaya tambahan, karena setiap kapal yang terlambat berlabuh akan meminta tambahan biaya (demurrage) yang dihitung dari berapa lama kapal mengantri. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah metode statistic probabilitas atau probabilitas distribution (Distribusi Poisson). Data yang telahdikelompokkan akan di uji terlebih dahulu dengan menggunakan uji kecocokan Chi Square. Kecocokan dari suatu distribusi empiric terhadap distribusi teoritik seperti distribusi poisson dapat di uji dengan Chi Square. Uji ini membuat perbandingan antara frekuensi pengamatan dengan frekuensi yang diharapkan untuk berbagai nilai variable random. Frekuensi yang diharapkan selalu timbul dari suatu dugaan atau hipotesa. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh alternative untuk mengurangi antrian kapal dengan menggunakan modelantrian single chanel multiple phase yaitu dengan memanfaatkan dua dermaga, karena tingkat penggunaan dermaga mempunyai nilai sebesar 97% berarti hanya 3% yang menganggur. Sedangkan untuk rata-rata konsumen dalam antrian dikategorikan pada ktriteria sangat baik karena memiliki nilai antrian kurang dari 3 yaitu 1 .28 .
