Abstract. PT. X in one of the largest retail companies in Indonesia. This company is divided into two management namely distribution center and shop. At distribution center there are various divisions, one of which is the warehouse division whose job is to regulate in and out the product, regulate the placement of product in the distribution center and also regulate the expiration of each item in warehouse. Total of these items is more than 3000 items. With various tasks that must be performed by the warehouse division, but there are problems regarding the discipline of this employees. The company complains that employees often come the office late, leave before the shift over, their work productivity is low and not enthusiastic when working. Other things complained by employees are salaries that are not commensurate with the demands of work, leaders who feel helpful to employees and the possibility of promotion that is very difficult even though they have been achievers. The purpose of this study is look at the closeness between relationship of job satisfaction with work discipline. In this study, the method used was correlational to 92 employees. Measuring instruments for this study were complied by researchers in reference to Locke and Lateiner & Levine's job satisfaction theories. The correlation technique used with Spearman. From the results of the correlation show the results of 0.613 which shows a fairly close relationship between job satisfaction and work discipline.Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Work Discipline, Employee Abstrak. PT. X merupakan salah satu perusahaan ritel terbesar di Indonesia. Perusahaan ini terbagi menjadi dua manajemen yaitu distribution centre dan toko. Di dalam distribution centre ini terdapat berbagai divisi, salah satunya adalah divisi warehouse yang bertugas untuk mengatur masuk dan keluarnya barang, mengatur penempatan barang-barang di dalam distribution centre dan juga mengatur kadaluarsa setiap barang yang ada di gudang. Total dari barang tersebut lebih dari 3000 barang. Dengan berbagai tugas yang harus dilakukan oleh divisi warehouse, tetapi terdapat permasalahan mengenai kedisiplinan dari para karyawannya. Perusahaan mengeluhkan karyawan yang sering terlambat masuk kantor, pulang sebelum shift selesai, produktivitas kerja mereka rendah dan tidak bersemangat ketika bekerja. Hal lain dikeluhkan oleh para karyawan yaitu mengenai gaji yang tidak sepadan dengan tuntutan kerjanya, atasan yang dirasa kurang membantu para karyawan dan kemungkinan promosi yang sangat sulit walaupun mereka sudah berprestasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk melihat keeratan antara hubungan kepuasan kerja dengan disiplin kerja karyawan. Pada penelitian ini, metode yang dipakai adalah korelasional terhadap 92 karyawan. Alat ukur penelitian ini disusun oleh peneliti merujuk pada teori kepuasan kerja Locke dan Lateiner & Levine. Teknik korelasi yang digunakan dengan Spearman. Dari hasil korelasi menunjukan hasil 0,613 yang menunjukan adanya hubungan yang cukup erat antara kepuasan kerja dan disiplin kerja.Kata Kunci: Kepuasan Kerja, Disiplin Kerja, Karyawan |
