dc.description Abstract. In Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Insan Madani, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Cikapayang, and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Ishlah mostly  final exam scores under standard of minimum completeness, when the class of students did not pay attention to the teacher because of chatting, feel bored at school and never study at home. In addition, parents when at home lack attention, submit everything to the school, passive about school activities, and never check homework. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of student engagement and description of parental involvement. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire adapted from the Parental Involvement Rating Scale (PIRS) (K. A. Gafoor, 2016) and School Engagement Measurement from (Fredricks & Paris, 2003). The research method used was an explanatory design with a population study of 83 people analyzed using linear and multiple regression. The results showed a description of parental involvement as much as 39 (47%) students perceived high parental involvement and 44 (53 %) students perceived low parental involvement. Then, the description of student engagement was 37 (45%) students had high student engagement and 46 (55 %) students had low student engagement.Keywords: Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Parental Involvement, Student Engagement.Abstrak. Di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Insan Madani, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Cikapayang, dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Ishlah kebanyakan nilai UAS siswa dibawah KKM, ketika dikelas siswa tidak memperhatikan guru karena mengobrol, merasa bosan disekolah dan tidak pernah belajar dirumah. Selain itu, orangtua ketika dirumah kurang perhatian, menyerahkan segala sesuatu kepada pihak sekolah, pasif terhadap kegiatan sekolah, dan tidak pernah memeriksa pekerjaan rumah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran student engagement dan gambaran parental involvement. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang di adaptasi dari Parental Involvement Rating Scale (PIRS) (K. A. Gafoor, 2016) dan School Engagement Measurement dari (Fredricks & Paris, 2003). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan penelitian eksplanatori dengan studi populasi sebanyak 83 orang yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear dan berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran parental involvement sebanyak 39 (47%) siswa mempersepsikan parental involvement yang tinggi dan 44 (53%) siswa mempersepsikan parental involvement yang rendah. Kemudian, gambaran student engagement sebanyak 37 (45%) siswa memiliki student engagement yang tinggi dan 46 (55%) siswa memiliki student engagement yang rendah.Kata kunci: Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Parental Involvement, Student engagement.
